CAK @ Grace

Recommended Posts

I say I hope he plays, and if he hasn't matured (which I hope he has), I hope our guys are ready to let him do what he has to do without any retaliation. I hope we get Grace's best shot, and I hope our guys are ready. If both of these teams are on their "A" game I think I know what the outcome will be. I hope we are ready, don't overlook them, and keep the pedal pushed to the floor. :roflolk:

Sheila, congratulations on the jamboree. There are probably only a few people that enjoyed that beat down more than I. I know one of our parents has a Powell tie in and I'm sure he was smiling almost as much as I was. :roflol: Good luck to Powell this season!

# 5 sat out the first basketball game last season due to the ejection. I bet Coach McKamey has him ready and loves all the rumors flying around. Glad we didn't play CAK in the jamboree Catholic is no CAK haha

Hey, I really never thought of it like that Shelia. I like your way of thinking. :thumb: I was very happy for Powell. That was much needed by the players, fans and coaches as well. Good luck to the Panthers this year, I'll be following them closely.

Yes! And without any help from the Grace fans!

It's apparent that the Grace AD or someone in admin. has requested that the Grace fans stay off the message boards in response to the negative publicity they received from a few posters last year. I can understand not wanting a negative light put on your school, but you would think that all the other Grace posters could help police the board enough to keep the negativity in check. Interaction with opposing fans and their views is what makes these boards interesting. It doesn't have to be ugly or negative.

At any rate, us CAK fans will be left to talk amongst ourselves for the time being. If Grace wins it will be interesting to see if any Ram's fans "break their silence".

They know they lost most of their best players and they were only an average team with them. I'd say starting Friday night, its going to be a lonnnnng season for Grace.CAK is a big jump from the teams they played last season. They feasted on chumps.

i would agree with both of the last 2 comments!! i would say after grace gets the stomping that we should give them.. that there silence will break and will probably accuse us of running up the score!!

If there is a team in the state that needs the score run up on um ,its Grace. They may get several doses this season. They actually play some people this year.

    • I think Alcoa and Westview are favorites in top bracket and Huntingdon and Meigs in bottom bracket.  Westview and Huntingdon both have great pitching.  I think Huntingdon has more offense than Westview.
    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
