graider1976
Any predictions this year about those LaVergne Wolverines? I hear they got a line coach from Eagleville that is suppose to be pretty good. They say he was left Eagleville because his agent didn't like his contact??? nike2001
There is no truth to these rumors. LaVergne does not have anyone on staff from Eagleville. Although I did hear that they ave a new player that moved in from Frostproof Fla by the name of Ontario James. Hester told me that the kid is a playa and has a motor that does not stop. graider1976
Well, I'm just saying that the guy that came over from eagleville is a little unorthadox. Apparantly he coaches barefoot??? But hey, if it will shore up what was a porous offensive line unit then, so be it. Hester has got the kids on a strict PB and J diet which seems to be working, looked alot faster in and out of cuts. Looking forward to seeing this Ontario James fellow, with Booker never panning out. Think he ended up at Covenant or something.
CommonSenseMD
James is a stud. No doubt about it.
crackalack
Now look, the coach has to do whatever it takes to be successful, and if he coaches barefoot, then so be it. As far as the James kid, he's a beast. Hope Brentwood has a plan to stop this kid.
Lost Old Dad
LaVergne should be really fun to watch this year. The flew under the radar last year and this is just the second year that their best players were NOT lost to Smyrna. LaVergne is one of three schools in the District I am hearing 'rumors' from that the team will be playing to keep their current HC.
Golddust281
This young man has big shoes to fill if he plans to replace Marcus Booker. Book will be missed this season, he was for sure one of the finest student atheletes Lavergne has ever produced. Now, I did have to privledge of seeing Ontario play in High school in Fla, and I must say, he is an impressive specemin...........Ran into his momma at Kroger the other night, and she says he's ready for the season. Go Rines!
