Volunteer @ Elizabethton

Recommended Posts

The week we have all been waiting for since last October has finally arrived. I can't wait to make the long trip from Sevierville to Betsy Friday night to watch the Falcons. The boys have worked hard this summer and it all starts Friday night, time for them to come together and show Betsy what they have.

Anyone have any predictions?

I am going to say

Falcons 35

Cyclones 31

Volunteer will have a tough task against Elizabethton. The coaching match up between Uncle and Newphew should be pretty good. Both teams have good QB's and RB's so it should come down to line play on both sides of the ball that will lead to the W. Of Course I will be pulling for the Falcons since they are a Big 8 team.

How is Devin Rogers this week. He got absolutely jacked up by DB linebacker Jason Michaels at the South Superbowl scrimmage last week. When he got up i saw his left arm was straight and my first thought was a broken collar bone. But, he came back in a few players later. He's tough but needs to hit the weight room hard. Good luck to the Falcons. The Cyclones always play tough.

Devin is feeling good this week, with Volunteer running the jumbo package, once Devin got to the outside he was free game for the DB defenders on that play, he got a stinger on that hit.

That was a real nice hit by DB's LB. Thankfully it was only a stinger. Devin is starting to feel good he has been battling with a cold for the last few weeks. He's pumped about the start of the season and believes Volunteer can do good this year.

You gotta tough back in Rogers. That was a big time hit the other night..glad he's ok. My sources say you have your hands full against the Cyclones..good luck.

I have to agree with Spear24. From a co-worker who is a Souther, I hear the Cyclones are very athletic at skill positions and will make some noise this season. I'd like to see a Falcon victory, for my niece's sake (VHS senior), but I think this may be a rough start for the Flock.

I'll say

Elizabethton 35

Volunteer 13

    • The people need our help!
    • Lol when was last time they won region or got past the 3 rd round.
    • Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
