Well in NET I guess I would vote for Johnson County. Hamburgers on a charcoal grill with a big onion slice...mmmm! Any yall got home cooked food on Friday night? :D

Comp, I believe you have started what will soon be a gem of a thread here. Unfortunately I rarely buy anything from the concession stands; If I do it's usually pizza which is delivered from somewhere like Papa John's or Little Caesar's.

Aside from food there are a few things that I believe are important when you are considering what qualifies as a decent concession stand. One thing is punctuality; I get to the games early, but something is wrong if the concessions haven't even opened by 6:30.

Another thing is a concession stand has to have cheap...ugh, reasonably priced items. We're not buying Bling water here. dry.gif

Also there's the buy 1 get one free deal that usually commences near the end of the game when the home team is getting spanked. :D

Betsy goes to JC in a couple of weeks.Comp your making my mouth water right now. They have the big deal pickels there too. :D

And them pickles! I was sittin' tight 'cause they scored first you know. So's I couldn't wait no longer, what with the wafting smell in the air and all, hence I amble on over to barter for my dinner and Hades, I get back to my seat with mud on my pants 'cause I had to walk backward all the way back and fallin' down and all...'cause when I sat down we done put up 36 points. And they women was mighty respectful to a Rebel. A man might go over there and find him a Doe. If'in you have a mind to go a huntin'. Johnson County is God's country for those of you that ain't been there. B)

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
