I saw in the local paper the other day that the JV coaching position is not filled for this year. It is listed as "open". Does anybody know who the JV coach will be or if they will even have one?

Not sure who will be JV coach but varsity and jv should be strong this season. They have 6 seniors that I know of. They have a couple of players who have started on varsity since their sophmore seasons as well as a good junior class and some sophmores who should help. New IMAC will be tough with Sevier, Seymour and South Doyle in it now. Morrristown and East will be strong and Cherokee and Cocke County should be improved with new coaches as well. This should be an exciting year for Jefferson County.

If JC can come up with some quality pitching, they could be good. Good enough to win the district. It will get tougher after that. Cherokee and Cocke County will continue to struggle. Should be four wins right there. Left hander on JV had a phenomenal year last year. Hopefully, he will contribute a lot this year.

EK will be out most of the seasonwith that ACL injury won't he? Shame to see... And shade jett can hit a ball.

Pretty sure he will be a junior.

The lefty is Spencer Holmes. They also have Lambert, Ballinger and Paschal that pitched well this summer. They are going to miss EK. Senior leadership will be vital to this teams success. I look for big seasons from Austin Collins, Joe Tipton, Ausmus, Jett and Pokey Lewis. Should be one of the best hitting teams Jeff has had in awhile. Conference will tough.

Talked with EK and his rehab is going really well. He should be back around 95-100% by mid february.

No. EK is a senior CF/Pitcher-3 year varsity starter. Have not seen EU play at the varsity level yet at JCHS. Maybe he has been hurt?

Underwood was hurt last year but should see time on varsity this year. Did not play with high school this summer but played with Pro Concepts. EK, Austin Collins and Lewis are all 3 year starters on varsity. Loads of experience due to fact that most of these boys have played together during the summer the last 2 years.

What type of competition did the high school summer team play against this summer? I have heard different things. I know that Pattersons tournaments are not what they used to be with many teams that are not very good.
