Regarding the NCS student section I'd say there are more than their share of morons there and naturally just a few bad apples can make the entire student and institution embarrassed. Not to mention their bleachers are in no way compliant with the TSSAA requirement of a minimum of 3 Ft from the court. To add people sitting on the 1st row and you have a serious accident waiting to happen. I'd think there has been some without question, just haven't heard about them. Station Camp students behaved the same way when I went there, but as someone stated previously...NCS is a "christian school". They desperately need to have a nice long talk with the kids sitting there. I'm surprised they had some tossed since it seems no one pays much attention to them and it's loud. Perhaps they've had many complaints and were watching. Does anyone know if the refs tossed them or reps from the school? I'd guess it was the refs since the school reps seems to be conveniently AWOL during the games. Everywhere else is fairly decent with the possible exception of WHH with some kids trying to stand right on the court even though they have plenty of room. Seemed to be pretty mouthy too with some insults, etc. but not quite as bad as NCS. No place for personal attacks, childish behavior, and especially racial stuff around our schools.

One quick question

Just because NCS is a Christian school does that make them better than everyone else?

Thank you for opening a door.

The Word must be spoken, because the Holy Spirit burns within me (Romans 9:1). If they are a Christian school, then those students who profess to be Christians should walk as Christ did on this earth (1 John 2:6) and keep his commandments (1 John 2:3-4; Matthew 22:36-40). That means putting to death everything that the rest of the world does- all anger, wrath, malice, slander, obscene talk, sexual immorality, and anything else that is contrary to the Law of God (Colossians 3:8; Romans 1:18-32)- as they humble themselves (Proverbs 15:33; Zephaniah 2:3; Phillipians 2:8; Ephesians 4:1-2; Matthew 23:12) and are transformed by the renewal of their minds (Romans 12:2; Colossians 3:8-10) as a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). In short, they are not better than anyone else, which is a terrible thing because Christians are not to conform to the rest of the world (Romans 12:2). Christ's Word is not taking this out of proportion. Christianity is not a game because there are many who will die without knowing who Christ really is and they will be cast into the eternal fire (Revelation 14:11). We must test ourselves to see if we are in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5).

Now that his Word has shocked you into life, everyone: we must stop conforming to the World, we are leading people astray. This Word is being written because I care for you not because I hate you; this goes to say for all of you. I am not on this board because of a game today, I don't want anyone here to fail to know who Christ is and l don't want people to believe that slandering each other in a basketball game is True Christianity. This may very well be my last message on this board, and I don't know why God has placed it on me to write this message. Whatever happens it is for the glory of the Lamb who was slain. This is a message to any of us who claim to be Christians or do not know anything of Christ. I will not keep silent for his sake (Isaiah 62:1)! You will be angry, that's what the Truth does to us all, to you and to me. To some, Christ's Word is foolishness and is a "stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense", but to others it becomes and "is the power of God to us who are being saved" (1 Corinthians 1:18). His Holy Spirit will teach you all things if you let him. I am just a vessel, so give glory to God.

Every single team in 10A has fans who yell things that should not be repeated. I say this as I have played in every gym in the district at least 3 times, so please don't make this into a thing of NCS vs the world.

Don't complain about a NCS fan bashing a player when more than likely a fan from that same school had bashed on a NCS player or other players.

Every school has fans that take it too far and every school has fans that don't.

Our gym obviously meets state requirements or we wouldnt be able to play in it so quit complaining. Talking trash is part of the game every student section does it. We can move on now if you would like but your wrong and im right.

This childish mentality says it all right here. Everyone with NCS is right, all else is wrong. All I've done is comment on a previous poster about Metro police removing NCS kids and things I've personally seen. That's it. Nothing contrived, all facts. As far as the gym, do you think the TSSAA does inspections on all gyms? I'm sure it takes a formal complaint, gives me an idea. I spoke with a ref at the NCS about it once and he basically agreed it was in question. Unless he reports it, then it won't go anywhere. Can you name any gym anywhere else that the 1st row has their feet on the lines? You make generalized statements about all teams fans make comments that shouldn't be repeated and so on. Possibly, but all I said was that I've never heard of a Metro cop escorting kids out. Which is the truth, plain and simple. You seem to be extremely defensive about someone commenting on their experiences at NCS. There's no reason for me to have an agenda against NCS. No reason for me to be jealous of the school whatsoever. Hate to hear you have such a complex about anything perceived as negative about NCS.

Just saw the McEwen/East Robertson score from last night. Looked like McEwen played a great game, but also didn't see Woodard's name in the scoring column. Where was he?

He scored 14 I think so that tells you what kind of game he had. Next high scorer on their team had like 4 or 5. ER has a couple good shooters but I'm not sure they even scored. These teams were tied in the district I believe and playing for a shot to fight for 2nd, but you'd never known it watching ER. No 50 for McEwen got around 20, and I think virtually every one of them was putbacks. ER has some decent size, but they're not strong or coached to use good blockout. They just stand there going straight up. Other than 50 cleaning up under the boards, MC doesn't have anything special - they just hustle and are well coached. The twins are pretty decent, and can shoot nice at times. They could easily challenge WHH for 2nd from what I've seen. Unless ER gets JB or MH in the district tourney they'll be one and done.

Curious what was up with CA losing to WHH there last night? WHH loses at home to ER but beats CA?? I have a feeling that Malcolm Smith was out since I didn't see his name in the scoreboard. If so, you take him out and CA is needless to say - quite a different team. That win makes WHH tough to catch for 2nd.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
