Zac Rayl will sign with Chattanooga

The Mocs have already tripled their win total from last season including a blowout win over 1-aa ranked Wofford that most people didn't see coming. They still have to play Elon who has one of the fastest defenses in 1-aa and Appy State, another 1-aa power. And they finish the season AT Alabama (ouch!)

...yet if they finish .500 or better, that really would make them the comeback program of the year in 1-aa aka "FCS." That has to be admired.

People will be shocked when signing day gets here and they pluck a few standouts from middle TN.

per this morning's newspaper....thoughts?

Congratulatons Zach! I know your uncle, your dad. and your mom. They are "good people" Uncle Jackie was a wrecking ball on the field and a great coach at Meigs County for years. Your dad was a great player, and your mom is georgeous, UTC is lucky to get you. Hang in there and work hard! The sky is the limit.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
