This was my advice fromk Respectall, "Independence is in the same district as Franklin and Brentwood so thats not possible. I would add Siegel and Cleveland to the list"

 

I shouldn't have tried AAA, just consider I don't know districts, so let me bow out. I didn't think I could have Brentwood and Franklin together?????? I'll wait for DII.

Yes, you can have two teams from the same district in AAA make it to the final 8 (and beyond).

 

Last year was an example of that when Franklin and Brentwood both went all the way through District, Regionals, Sectionals, and to the State Semi-Finals...

 

Had Franklin not lost in the Semis-; they could have played Brentwood in the Finals...so it is possible for two teams to advance out of one district and make it to the final 8...or maybe final 2.

 

Alot of it depends on how the adancement out of districts go, and how the bracketing pans out.

I believe it is in the TSSAA guidelines that if two teams from the same district make it State, they will be put on opposite sides of the bracket, so that if they advance far enough, they could meet in the finals.

Just to clarify, I said Independence couldnt be in top 8 if Brentwood and Franklin were too. Two teams from one district is possible and has happened numerous times, but three can not because only the 2 teams advance from each district to regionals. IMO it will be Franklin and Brentwood to advance out of that district.

All right .....Since my stripes are hung up for the year for Girls HS Soccer. Here's how I have it for my eight.

 

From the North East

1) Bearden

2) West ...I thought about Oak Ridge and DB, but West seems to be playing some great soccer at the right time

From Middle and South East

3) Siegel

4) Soddy Daisy....Yes call me a homer.

From Middle Tn

5) Brentwood

6) Franklin

The select programs in this area of the state makes these two schools hard not to pick.

From the West

7) Collierville

8) Houston

Question....Are there there any other AAA teams out West??

Got knocked out by ORHS in one of the best games I have ever seen!

Oak Ridge played with so much heart and teamwork. Their fans really seemed to help as well.
