Brandon Farmer the SHS QB is a freshman, in fact the whole starting line-up is mostly underclassmen. JJ Dickerson the RB is a sophmore as the leading reciever Mantorvis Young is also a sophmore. The future looks bright for the Jackets.

 

 

IF THE COACHING STAFF STAYS IN PLACE AND THE PLAYERS STICK WITH FOOTBALL SPRINGFIELD'S FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT ON THE GRIDIRON.

No Doubt - Freshman dress out on Friday night but do not play. Some may get a few plays in after the freshman season is over. We have just had so many injuries this season. I have never seen this many injuries in a season and I have been around for awhile.

 

I guess that's nice if you can do it. Greenbrier it seems always has to play a few here or there. When the 2005 group were freshmen, I'd guess there were probably 8 or so starting, even at QB. You get them some good experience but you always run the risk of injury.

 

If WH had a player that the coach deemed could contribute to the team, would he play him as a freshman?

      I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.

      If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.

      Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro

      I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
