1st off. I am sure I have a mistake or 2 in here, so please correct me and I will edit this post throughout the night to update things.

Bold's are sure things. Italics are teams that have clinched an automatic birth but playing for final standings tonight:

Here are your automatic eligible teams:

Dobyns Bennett D1 #4

Sevier County D2 #1

Oak Ridge D3 #2

Maryville D4 #1

Farragut D4 #2

McMinn Co D5 #1

Ooltewah D5 #2

CookevilleD6 #1

Coffee Co #2

Blackman D7 #1

Riverdale D7 #2

Oakland D7 #3

Franklin Co D8 #5

Mt. Juliet D9 #2

Dickson Co D10 #4

Brentwood D11 #1

Franklin D11 #2

Hunters Lane D12 #1

Overton D12 #2

Brighton D13 #1

ArlingtonD14 #1

MillingtonD14 #2

Germantown D15 #1

Wooddale D15 #2

Kirby D15 #3

White Station D16 #1

26 automatic eligbile teams = 6 wildcards

#1 Whitehaven (8-2)

#2 Bearden (8-2)

# Cordova (6-4)

# Independence (6-4)

# Rossview (6-4)

#6 McGavock (6-4)

I don't know the exact order of Cordova, Independence, and Rossview because it comes down to opponents winning 50% or more of their games, but it doesn't really matter, nobody else will have 6 overall wins besides these guys.

So this looks like your field of 32 for 6A

What decides who gets the wild card spots?

Well, after you count the automatic qualifiers, enough wildcard teams are chosen to complete the 32 team field. #1 criteria for being selected as a Wildcard team is overall record. 2nd criteria is wins over teams winning 50% or more of their games. It goes on from there, but in most cases will not advance past the 1st 2 tiebreakers.

Nashville Overton beat Hillwood last night to improve their record to 8-2. If McG beat HL then McG is 1, HL 2, Overton WC. If HL beats McG, which they should, then HL is 1, Overton 2, and McG possible WC.

Thanks, that is pretty much what I had, but I forgot to edit the parts about Hillwood winning after last nights game.

I guess the east looks to be

Sevier Co.

Maryville

McMinn

Ooltewah

Farragut

Oak Ridge

DB

Bearden

Whew....if that plays out, talk about a first round showdown with the 4/5!!!!

Very well could be. I am waiting to get more finals before looking farther, but with 3 #1's Ooltewah has to be #4, looks like they will be playing Farragut
