Oh no. :thumb: Don't tell me you guys are putting your hopes and future on this guy. Shame. There may be a tad bump up for a couple of years (if scheduling is good) then it will be the same ole' song for Richland.... Who knows for sure just yet. While Giles County is the new Florida/Alabama program, the best Richland will be able to do is the Rich Brooks Kentucky program.

which one//Fl or Bama? lol

Coach Brooks is a class individual.

LOL...Who will Giles Co build a statue of? Have they displayed their trophy at Wal-Mart? :D

How did it work out? Are they interested? This is an exciting chance for Raiders and Bobcats to come together.

Does anyone know the probability of this actually happening, I'm a Forrest parent and our schedule has Richland on it, would we have an open week then or would we play Giles co. I sure hope not!

Thats not going to happen richland has a new coach now and getting ready to play

I'm hearing great things about Richland's new coach. The students seem pretty excited. With a new coach and some positive community support, this could be just what Richland needs. I hope Coach Massey is successful in weeding out the naysayers.

 

I agree :hungry: I hope he does weed out the naysayers also but you have to realize that the new coach was being "run out" of the state of Alabama. This was one of those hurry up and find sombody not local situations.

I do not claim to know the specifics of Coach Massey's circumstances having never been formally introduced to him. I do however, hope that Richland has better days ahead. There are numerous changes in the future for Richland, and I hope that the RHS faculty, staff, students, parents, and community can come together as a whole and make these changes for the better. Richland has endured enough negativity for a lifetime. If the players are on board, everyone else should be too.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
