Bradley Bearette Thanksgiving Tourney Schedule

The Bradley Central Bearettes will once again be hosting the annual Mountain View Thanksgiving Tournament at Jim Smiddy Arena on the campus of BCHS. This year's tourney will begin on Friday, November 27th, and conclude with consolation and championship finals on Sunday, November 29th.

The tournament will once again feature some of the strongest teams in the state in this early season holiday shootout.

 

Tickets will be $7.00 at the gate with pre-school children admitted free.

To provide some background on the strength of this tournament, here is information on some of the past participants.

 

2008--Memphis Central (35-2) won this tourney and finished 2nd in AAA to Hillsboro, 62-61.

2007--Wilson Central (30-6) won this tourney and the AAA state

2006--Wilson Central (32-4) won this tourney and lost in the sub-state to Antioch

2005--Bradley Central (22-11) won this tourney and lost in the region sems to Cleveland. Wilson Central finished 2nd to Bradley Central in the Thanksgiving tourney but won the AAA state the same year. Jefferson davis finished 5th in the BCHS tourney but won the Alabama 6A title that year.

2004--Wilson Central (26-9) won the tourney and lost in the first round of the state to Oakland.

2003--Wilson Central (31-6) won this tourney and made it to the 1st round of the state before losing to Greeneville. Sparkman, AL, finished 3rd in the Bradley tourney but won the Alabama 6A state title.

2002--Athens, AL, (38-0) won the Bradley tourney and the Alabama 5A state championship.

2001--Boaz, AL, won the Bradley tourney and the Alabama 5A state championship.

2000--Hoover, AL, won the Bradley tourney and was the Alabama 6A state champion.

 

Quite an impressive lineup for the tourney moving into its 10th annual battle. Who will emerge this year with state title aspirations?

Tough loss Wilson Central. Just curious about details of the game. Looks like halftime talks went longer than usual and the game started without you??

Not taking anything away from KW, just not familiar with their team.

Also, no 3's? Was it cold shooting or get the ball down low, no exceptions or your benched!!!?

Just curious to know. Keep your head up girls, we'll be pulling for you today.
