Siegel. This one ought to be fun to watch. Siegel top 5 are a little better than Liberty's. This could come down to depth. Siegel has a stud in the one kid (forgot name). He can flat out play.

Liberty's best players are Tarius Johnson and Kendal Anthony. Don't underestimate Liberty. They're extremely talented and extremely quick.

 

Kerry Hammonds is the good player from Siegel. I imagine him and Tarius will do some battling.

Liberty Tech is still alive in the football playoffs. How does that effect them in this one? How many of their basketball players also play football? That has to be taken into consideration.

I was wondering the same thing last night while I was at the Liberty game. They were extremely thin coming off the bench. TJ was doing his usual, but K Anthony really struggled...

Liberty Tech is still alive in the football playoffs. How does that effect them in this one? How many of their basketball players also play football? That has to be taken into consideration.

 

Since Liberty has been in existence, I can't remember many of the better players that have come through Liberty that play both basketball and football. With that being said, Liberty should be at nearly full strength. This will be a good test to show both teams where they're at at this point. Liberty went 29-7 last year and only lost 1 or 2 players to graduation. This team took Joe Jackson and White Station, eventual AAA state champs, down to the wire in substate last year and came up short 58-55. I honestly think Liberty will win this game, but it should be close.

Definately a big no. This years Liberty team is very talented, no doubt. Liberty, this year, is my pick to win the AA state championship even over Knox Fulton. However, that team back in 2007 was a team that doesn't come around West TN too often or even the whole state for that matter. Liberty finished ranked #17 in the country and played the #3 team in the nation, Mater Dei California, to a 4 point game. They also played Oak Hill Academy to like a 15 point game I believe. That Liberty team was definately one of, if not the best team to come through West TN. They were stacked from top to bottom!

Dont forget this is the same 26-6 Siegel team that beat Liberty by 13 last year. Siegel returns everyone this year. Will definately be a good game though.

By any means should this Liberty team be compared to that 2007 team. It's not even close. TJ, lil Ant, and Codario Williams is about it for this current squad. Plus they have a new coach on the sidelines. They looked really flat the other night against a decent not great Germantown team. I was also at the game last year at the Finch Center when Siegel and Liberty played. Siegel's size and height totally killed Liberty. Siegel ran off a total dunkfest in the 4th quarter of that game. With that said this is a game I would attend again. If the 3's are falling for Liberty they are very tough to beat
