I missed that...are you calling Greenfield punks?

If I had said that they would suspending and banning me..lol

Hater_Nation_Rules

You gotta understand, Butchie and I have kinda been pushed into such comments by the Jacket faithful on here so we have earned something like imminent (sp) domain in this case. I just wish they would have one good season and finally leave us alone about the big/small thing. I do believe that the worst former offender of Jacket fame has mellowed out some and that pleases me. At least we can talk sanely now!!! AND, to make matters worse, by blood I'm now a semi-fan of the Gleason Bulldogs!!! GO MIKE!! I just can't win in this Greenfield thing no matter which way I turn!!

Gotta love small town football in rural NW TN!!!!!!!

I knew you weren't calling them punks, just aggravating you You have to realize also...that the Greenfield High School football team (the last 3 times) have been down by 40 points (according to their fans) or so late in the games against the Mighty Rebels (whom have spunky supporters)---and the ball was thrown to the end zone a lot. Dresden had a decent year, but I also agree...who can't like Noah Lampkins and his program....Noah is a winner

Hater This Is The last Time I'll Explain This. When Our Coach Gts Up On Points The Subs Come In And The Assistant Coaches Take Over. And What They Call Is What They Call.

And If They Dont Wanna Get Beat Get Better.

And Then They Can Quit Crying. I Wish They'd Leave The Starters In And Set A State Record On Points. If They Didn't Stink They Wouldn't Whine. :roflol:

What folks got to understand is that when it's our B team and JV in there throwing the rock around and scoring, it's a whole new game for us. This mess happens even into the Pro ranks. It's not about "you done us wrong" its about "we have to get better and stop them!" Believe me the Rebels have been there too in class 2A in the past!!!! We went to the semi's and would have been a contender for the gold had we gotten by the semi's in class 2A this season.

Guess what, we were playing schools bigger than us. The only place in high school football that crutches belong is for injured players. There are no crutches for unproductive programs. And yes, Noah has done a great job in Gleason.

Sorry to crash a thread about Dresden, but I think Butchie and a few others are lumping all Greenfield fans into one group because of the whining of a few. I guarantee Greenfield's coach isn't making any excuses about the size of their school and who they have to play. The fact is Greenfield is smaller than most schools, but you have to give it to their kids for how hard they play. The bottom line is winning, but I guarantee you that those boys are learning life lessons that will help them later on. Since this is a Dresden thread, I will say that Dresden is losing a lot this year but they should be pretty competitive.

JustaDad, Now I'm Not Throwing Your Kids Under The Bus. I've Had 2 Sons Play Football. And I Realize The Things They Have To Juggle When Playing Sports. And I Do Conflict With Some Of Your Fans. And Your Coach, I'm Sure Is Doing His Best. But If You Had A Plumber Doing Your Heart By-Pass, Eventhough He's Working Like A Son Of A Gun To Get It Done For Ya, It May Not Be Done Adequately. Take South Fulton For Example......New Coach.... Playoffs. Union City...New Coach.....Gold Ball.... Dresden New Coach....They're Back In The Mix. Bruceton New Coach.........I Predict They Go 5 of 5 this Year. Now Greenfield Seems To Be Successful In Basketball.....Baseball.....So It Aint The Small School Excuse Holding Ya Back. You Have The Talent Apparently Evident Of Success Of Other Programs. He May Be In Over His Head. Now Don't Offer Me The Job Because I'd Be Worse At It And Besides I Make More Doing What I Do. But Good Luck To Greenfield And I Enjoy Your Posts. :roflol:

Butchie I think you know that success in one sport does not equal success in all sports. Not being a smart butt but just look at McKenzie basketball. When the current coach at Greenfield took over the program they had won 4 games the previous two seasons. His first two seasons they won 9 games. Last year they only one 1 but were absolutely in every game and easily could have won 5 or 6. I just ask you not to judge a team by posters on a message board, and by the scoreboard because that doesn't always tell the story. You don't know about injuries, number of coaches at practice, and various other things that play a big role.

Please, don't feel we are lumping all Greenfield fans, players, coaches etc. into one pot!!! We learned long ago that that is a mistake. But, a few (2-3) can draw the rebuttal of many in cases like this. We defend our program just as strongly as you defend yours. It's all good.

Duck I appreciate that, it is just that several extremely negative comments have made about Greenfield's coach and players. I am just saying if you are aiming for 2-3 people say it to them, and not about Greenfield's staff and players. If you look back you will see that there have been some pretty bad things said. I know it's just a message board, but I think we all could show a little bit more class.

D town is already working hard to replace seniors. Lineman will be small, but strong and o line is looking fast and deadly. Best throwing quarterback in the district plus many returning receivers spell doom for defenses next year. Looking everywhere to replace 44 at F. Kids working their behinds off in weight room and speed work. Kids have a great attitude and leadership so far and if this keeps up there will be no excuses next year for the garbage games like Halls and Riverside. Wish we could fast forward to next Fall already. We are looking to up our game to the Mckenzie and mustang level next year. Hopefully we can send more than two teams to the playoffs in our little part of the world. Congrats to Union City and Mckenzie for showing this is football country out here in the sticks. Watch out for the Lions next year. Football is back in Dresen! Go Lions. Congrats to Basketball teams for beating West Carroll last night.

Not sure how Riverside is considered a garbage game for Dresden next year.

Riverside did beat Dresden this year 30-6.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
