District 4 AAA

This district seems very balanced with not a lot of dominate teams except for maybe Bearden and West. When do those two play?

 

What is going on with Farragut? 0-3 in the district, when was the last time that happened? Are there injuries?

 

Also Lenoir City seems to be struggling a little early

I think the district is more balanced with the addition of Catholic and West, replacing Sevier County and South Doyle, although Sevier County is playing well this year.

 

Bearden is still pretty good, although they aren't nearly as dominant as they have been the last couple of years. But normal powerhouses Farragut and Maryville are definitely weaker than they have been.... anybody in the district with the exception of Heritage can compete with them this year and that hasn't been the case for a few years like you say.

 

I think Bearden and West have emerged as clearly the top 2 teams and Heritage is clearly at the bottom. I have no clue how three through seven will shake out but it will make for some very competitive games.

When Romburg returns for maryville, they will be tough to beat and could make a good run in the district and region tourneys.. could very easily split the series with bearden and west having them both at home in january.

Bearden is the best team in 4AAA right now. They have beaten everyone by double digits including Catholic and Maryville. West fell back a little last night with an overtime loss to Farragut. That was a big surprise especially with Tookie dropping 27. Maryville will be much better when 6/5 Romberg is back. Maryville's freshman pg had 27 aginst William Blount. Lenoir City has came on of late. Looking forward to seeing Bearden and West compete with Central and Fulton at the Super 16 at Bearden.
