Great athlete/ "arguably"?????? how is there an argument for any other bracket. 5 of the top 10 teams in the nation including the top 3? how do you devise a tourney with the top three teams in the nation in the same bracket... they been watching the TSSAA and just taking the easy way out and doing a blind draw? lol

Had he said it's the toughest bracket someone would have come on here and tried to argue otherwise! Of course the Smith bracket is designed to be the toughest every year. Each other bracket is constructed based on the desired level of difficulty as well. This leads to the greatest level of competition, ie. fewer blowouts. egghead
actually the brackets were about right When you consider that the way they had to split up the California Schools who were all probably in the top 15 nationally to start the year #1 St Mary's #2 Mater Dei #3 Poly and #4 Brea--and that's exactly how the brackets fell and on each side of the bracket you had Memphis and Mt Lebanon and on the other side you had Bolingbrook, Christ the King and Riverdale Baptist--I think the only thing you could really argue is whether some teams got put in the wrong division It is the next TOC event bracket that looks very questionable--with what looks to be the three best teams all in the same Bracket--Mo West Oak Ridge and Dallas Skyline-- Oak Ridge beat Brea in the Brea Tournament which is why Brea dropped out of the national rankings for a while
egghead
BTW--Memphis just lost a heartbreaker to Mnt Lebanon 63-56 in a game that was a 1 pointer with 27 seconds to go
