Spring Hill 11-1

Marshall County 9-3

Lewis County 8-4

Giles County 7-5

Page 7-5

Fairview 3-9

Hickman County 3-9

East Hickman 0-12

 

04/26 & 04/27 Schedule

Spring Hill vs Lewis County

Giles County vs Fairview

Marshall County vs Hickman County

Page vs East Hickman

 

I'm going to say SH, GC, MC, and Page all sweep. Any other predictions?

assuming all of the teams sweep this week, here is the final standings

1. Spring Hill 13-1

2. Marshall C0. 11-3

3. Giles Co. 9-5 (win over MC is tiebreaker)

4. Page 9-5

5. Lewis Co. 8-6

6. Fairview 3-11 (coin flip to determine 6-7)

6. Hickman Co. 3-11

8. East Hickman 0-14

 

i think the tournament would then be as followed:

Thursday, May 6 at Spring Hill

Lewis Co (5) vs Page (4)

East Hickamn (8) vs Spring Hill (1)

 

Thursday, May 6 at Marshall Co.

Marshall Co. (2) vs. Fairview or Hickman (7)

Giles Co. (3) vs Fairview or Hickman (6)

 

Losers and winners play at Spring Hill and Marshall Co on Friday, May 7th

Loser bracket finals on Monday, May 10th, bracket finals on Tuesday May 11

Winner of each bracket plays at the higher seed for district championship on Thursday May 13th

In the past the loser bracket finals were played on Monday as you have listed but then the winning team had to turn around and play the undefeated team. The "if game" would be played on Tuesday if needed. Then the Championship game was either played on Wednesday or Thursday. I think for the most part you have it correct and that is pretty much the way I would have it also. The past two years since the district went to this format rained has played a part of rescheduling so the tournament has been played out on the days it was set up for.

Marshall County-11

Hickman County-0

 

A great pitching duel for most of the game. Hays pitched for HC and gave up 1 earned run through 5 innings. A couple of errors led to 3 unearned runs. He left after 5 innings 4-0 and Marshall added runs in the 6th and 7th against the bullpen. Tough night for the Dawgs offensively. Chapman pitched really well for MC. Great matchup of starting pitchers. Hopefully the rain holds off today

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
