I believe that this may be the best tournament that the Irish have been in since I've been a part of the EFT. There should be some great match-ups in the semis as well as the finals and I'm really looking forward to seeing Science Hill.

 

But WG, 4 young irish lads will be participating in new weights this weekend and that should liven some things up.

This weekend is going to be a real test for Science Hill. They showed a lot of resolve at the Cleveland duals and this tournament will let us see what the kids from the northeast can do with the big boys west of the Knoxville divide.

 

The Hill wrestles Thursday, and then matches up with the Bradley Machine and Soddy on Friday night. With the Christmas gift and consecutive wrestling days the match ups on Saturday should be interesting as well.

Needing a clarification please. With the weight classes being bumped up 4lbs from scratch this Saturday at Soddy, if a wrestlers lowest certified weight is 133.6, but his lowest weight class is showing as 135.0 (137 after Christmas), does mean he would have to wrestle at the 139lb weight class at Soddy?

He can only wrestle his lowest certified weight (135). If he had certified to wrestle 130 (or 134), he would in fact be allowed. Unfortunately, he has to wrestle at 135 (or 139). BELIEVE ME, i would love to put my 140lber at 139, but it is not to be....

Toon (215) of Ooltewah is a good wrestler but to say he wins it all after he has already lost to both Isaiah Simpson (Walker Valley) and Tucker Bolton (Bradley Central) is a real bold statement.
