Have to agree with Ptown on this one, Gallatin fans show very little in the way of either sportsmanship or knowledge of the game. After getting completely shut down in 2nd half of the SC game, it was all the ref's fault, despite the fact that they had only 1 shot on frame in the half and that was a weak one. I will say that Coach Harper showed a great deal of both when he praised the way SC took it to them in the 2nd half.

Where did knowledge of the game come into play on this one? and where did the station camp game come from? i'd like to know what school you represent raker that demosnstrates such great sportsmanship.

I'm sorry if you think of it like that, i really do, but in reality you guys started the trash talking after you beat Hendersonville 1-0. We backed up our end of the talking with 4 unanswered goals.

No one talked trash.. We did something no team has done in recent years.. 1st year in this district and we did something you can't come close too. We will be ready come tourney time. Hope to see yall again. Great game tonight... unlucky for us.. could of easily been 4-4...

Portland is probably one of the most non giving up group of kids ive ever seen with a 2-0 lead at one point in the game and for Gallatin to come back with 4 goals,it would have been real easy for them to quit and let things get embarrassing(because it could have been with the numerous chances Gallatin had in the 2nd) but they kept fighting and scrappin it out almost tying it up but then again it could have easily been more than 4 for Gallatin great hard work and team effort by both teams!

Yeah thanks for you guys having us. Great game. Great job by your boys to fight back. Good luck in the tourney.

You too. Looks like we might get Hendersonville first round. Thought it would make for good TV for you to have a rematch with them first round.

Anyone know what happened in Mt. Juliet or Wilson Cen?

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
