MBA vs. Father Ryan

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but this match is Saturday evening, 7 p.m., at Father Ryan I believe, and no one from either the Purple team or the Big Red has posted this match for " discussion". What is up with that? Back in the day, when Irish Dad was "working" the clock, and the Simpsons, Dunnings, Hiller, The Fat Four, and other legendary men in purple and red singlets were roaming the mats, this was the premier match of the season in Nashville. There would have been a post on this match right after the Ryan tournament and this board would already be knee deep in predictions and trash talk, just like supporters of those two teams from the east are and have been doing since last week under their own topic about "The Match" as it is known only down there. Is the MBA vs. Ryan match now like that piece of gum that has lost its flavor on the bed post overnight? Is this some attempt by Ryan and MBA fans to make Middle Tennessee appear more refined than those hillbillies down in Nooga? We can't let those guys down there outpost us and wag their fingers about how much more they care about their wrestling. So, does anyone have any thoughts on possible line-ups and match predictions. I'll go way out on a limb and offer that Ryan will continue what seems to be the trend over the past several years between these two schools: MBA rules football, Ryan rules wrestling. I just don't see the Big Red having enough firepower or anyway to shuffle their line-up to pull this one out or maybe even make it close. But, from his Naples. Florida outpost, cbq has posted under another topic that "my sources back in Nashvegas tell me that this is one of the most unpredictable Irish wrestling teams ever." So, maybe there is hope for the Big Red. Anyone think so?

Buck - the blue boy's web page states they intend to webcast the Chattown match on Friday. Any chance us out of towners can web up to vicariously participate in the Simpson throw down?

Y---Have not heard anything yet about a webcast of this match, so at this point I doubt it. As indicated in my post, this match just does not seem to be generating much talk this year. Glad to see from the messages on the Chattown match that it still does even though the boys in red tights look like they have a cod lock on a win Friday.

Your math is off starting at 125. You went from 6-6 after 119 to 9-3 after 125... how does that happen?

And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few months back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co.
