I don't know about this year but last year when CA and Richland played at CA Workman and Parson's were throwing Mid to High 80's consistently on every pitch. Everyone at the game was like WOW! It was awesome!

 

I meant consistently game in and game out. I'm sure both pumped up to upper 80's more than a few times when they needed to, just not every game.

 

ummm........have you watched any of Cornersville's pitchers to know how fast they pitch??? but seriously one of the dawgs pitchers does throw really close to 80...prolly not mid 80's tho. regardless of how fast he pitches the lefty is definately better than any other pitcher in the district.

 

Really close to 80 and 84-87 is a HUGEEEEE difference.

I have to agree that is a big difference...but there was a point made that nobody can even throw 80...but this guy for cornersville is a really fast and talented pitcher!

Cornersville has to pitchers that can hit 80. And laster threw 86 at a baseball showcase at the university of alabama. but im not sayin he can hit it consistent. and cullypride if i remember correctly who was the team to finish 3 in district behind ca and richland? CORNERSVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cornersville has a right handed junior pitcher that throws low to mid 80's with a good curve and another lefty that is a sophomore....he dont have overpowering speed but he has a good curve and good placement in his all his pitches....last year as a freshman he threw a pretty good bit for them and he has improved....they also have a freshman that will improve as he gains experience...they have no senior starting pitchers but they do have a lot of experience in the young guys

 

Cornersville does not have anyone throwing mid-80's I can promise you. No one in the district does. Kerry Workman barely threw mid 80's last year, and he wasnt consistently that high. The district will be lucky to even touch 80 more than once or twice...

Cullypride....first off it says low to mid 80's....to me that is 80-87.....cornersville has 2 pitchers that will throw in that range this year...they wont touch 87 i dont think but 84 or 85 is possible for both......secondly it sounds like you arent even considering cornersville to be in the top of the district....they finished 3rd in the district last year and only lost 2 people....culleoka might have only lost 1 person but from what i can remember they was closer to last than 1st....and if the scores are correct on here hampshire played lewis county close and culleoka did not....give cornersville some credit....they are pretty good.....i think 2sday and wednesday is gonna be 2 really good games between cornersville and mt pleasant....i also think culleoka and hampsire will be 2 good games

This may sound a little crazy, but I could see Hampshire playing Culleoka close and possibly beating them by a run or two.

Wow! I guess I should get a couple scouts from the Braves to come watch Cornersville play. Sounds like they have the team to beat in the state, maybe even the country. No reason to even play the rest of the teams to see what they really have huh?

 

Cully threw a kid that had never pitched in a game against Lewis Co and they threw their #2. I wouldn't be surprised if Hampshire/Cully game is close. The new coach down there has really made an impact on the program.

Cullypride...Are you serious??? nobody said anything about Cornersville winning state or anything even close to that! Cornersville has a good team and has a shot at winning the district and ppl don't expect it OR like it at all! but anyway good luck to the Dawgs against Mt. Pleasant today
