I saw where Science Hill won their district very handly. They are always a threat. Oakland has all of their top 5 back this year and they finished 2nd last year. They would be a good pick if they can survive their region which is probably the toughest in the state. I think Tullahoma and Lawrence Co. could be dark horses. That region will be played at McMinnville CC which is not a very fair course to play a high school region tournament. The best team might not win there. :confused:

You're exactly right! Clarksville came in second. Oakland came in third. Oakland lead after the first round and should have won but fell down on the last nine holes.

i just gotta say i thought that Hickman County High school did a wonderful job in the Regional 4 AAA tournaments and just like my prediction said, HCHS swept the thing. David placed third overall and Grant placed second and the rest of the team played great! Good Job Guys Clarksville you better watch out

Yea, I agree..Oakland will be tough to beat, but I have to stay loyal to my boys from "The Ville"..I wish all teams the best of luck in the state tournament, especially Fish and J. Brannen. Those two are as special as it gets, they'll give the Oakland boys a good run...Hopefully they can get some help from the supportin cast.

 

Incase no one knows who "The Ville" is..Thats Clarksville High I'm talkin about

There coach Jim Herron is one of the best coaches in high school golf. He will have the troops ready for the state. Everyone watch out.

 

Is Hickman County not AA? :confused:

      I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.

      Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.

      Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!

      Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
