underappreciated please. you are out of ur mind. have u even seen a clinton game this year. they have 5 plays. fullback down the middle, a sweep to blake or timmy, a six yard stop and catch, option left, and everynow and then they let mario hum one up to whoever wants it down the middle. the only reason we beat knox west is cause blake is the man and ran through like 4 players and somehow came up with the ball. underappreciated please. he's got the atheletes they just have a coach that punts on third down.

If Clinton still had Gaylor this wouldnt even be a game. Their play scheme is a little simple. They run a wing T 75% of the time and if they do throw the ball its a short west coast style pass for 5 or 6 yards on a hook route. If they do any other pass than that, then its Foley rolling out to the opposite side and just chuckin it down hoping Sharp will catch it. The only time Clinton scores is when either Sharp makes a big play or if Foley might break one for 20 or 30 yards. But thats neither here nor there, I think the Mavs are getting a little too cocky by being hyped up by the "wonderful" crew at the channel 12 scoreboard show. I see Sharp having a monster game and taking over. And yes Clinton will upset the mavs on their homefield.............Clinton 21, AC-13.

orange&black,

You are right about Lussier and Catlett. As long as Kerr keeps recruiting Anderson County and surrounding counties as he does, then these guys may struggle a bit. Pile on all you want, but I know for a fact that Catlett doesn't have near the athletes Clinton had when they were enjoying success in the Gaylor years. Gaylor left for a reason. Catlett and Lussier work as hard as anyone at their schools and are both underappreciated by a spoiled fan base. Get a clue!

What are you talkin about. They have tons of talent. Gaylor didn't have that much. Scotty Whitt and Jason Webber were his standouts. Catletts had the talent and has it right now. Gaylor didn't leave cause of talent their chief. He left because he wasnt getting paid anything and he went to Maryville to be a baseball coach because he made a much bigger salary for workin over there. Another thing about Gaylor thats funny, he goes to Maryville for baseball and they have been winning districts and bigger region games since hes been there. I dont think its the talent pal, its the coaching and that man can coach. And another thing, spoiled fans? I think the fans can start getting upset off when hes won 10 games in the last 4 or 5 years. Whats his record? 10 and 35 or something. Im sorry we don't sit back and let the great coach lead us into another 2 and 8 season.

frankynonose must play for clinton. sounds like he has the scheme of things down. if he doesnt jesus. if he knows whats goin on you know every other team in the world does. and whats the deal with foley rollin out left. i'm not a big football buff as you can tell by my name but common sense tells me its a little bit harder to throw rollin out that way.

I personally enjoy the Coalfield specialist. You know the guy in the middle who doesnt talk unless its about Coalfield or Oliver Springs football.

Franky, the Coalfield specialist will mention Wartburg, Oakdale, Sunbright, Oneida, or Greenback occasionally. I think he's actually the local Single A specialist.

Every year AC starts playing well it's because we recruit. What are we offering these kids to come here. Scholarships, cars, jobs for parents. I really doubt it. Starsandbars, what are you talking about? Heritage and Willy Blount stink every year. You ever wonder why. Pay your 350 and you can go to Maryville. The fact is, kids transfer because they are not happy in their situation. At AC, we treat our kids well and we have a great program. If you were the coach, and a kid did not want to play for you, would you try to make them? We have a great school, a great football program, and a great community and kids from lesser programs want to get a piece of the pie. As for us being overconfident, it sure beats underconfident. We will prevail again Friday night and as every year, players from Clinton will be begging to become part of the herd! Hook em Mavs!

A few years ago I knew a kid from Oak Ridge who attended A.C.H.S. and played football. I asked him how he liked it, and he said it was o.k., but said he sure didn't have any respect for Coach Kerr. He would have told me the problem if I'd asked, but I didn't because I really didn't want to know. A few weeks later A.C.H.S. got into some kind of trouble and had to forfeit several games. To my recollection, they went to the playoffs and lost to someone they shouldn't have. The young man joined the military, so he's not around anymore. Other than that, I've not heard anything bad about Coach Kerr. But I do know of several kids in the tri-county area (Roane/Morgan/Anderson) who cross county lines to attend school. Anderson County just happened to get caught with some type of violation, I'm sure these things happen everywhere.

Can any of you fans out there tell me what happened?? Were they using ineligible players or what? I can't remember, I was working out of town quite a bit of the time.
