SP1 they are hard at work, they seem to have a renewed energy. Not sure where it came from maybe from the outgoing seniors, new coaches or something else. Some are really stepping up and showing leadership. But, you can count on one thing as usual they will work hard this off-season and will play hard every week next season. To the outgoing seniors thanks for everything!!!!

Good to hear...all of the stat pack think they are going to have a great year. They did lose some talent but appeared to have some good young guns coming up. I was talking to one of the pack and he told me that Lewis had a Huge Freshman Team........in the 30's I think what he said. Appears that for the next few years........Lewis will have depth and after last year.....alot of the young classmen got experience and seen what a Team looked like. Good Luck to all the Panthers. I agree with the other stat........8-2/ 9-1 Good be a real number.

So who do you all see that 1 or 2 losses coming from? Fairview will be loaded and will ans should beat you all. Giles would beat you with their freshman team. Spring Hill will stomp you again. Marshall is bringing back a ton of talent with more experience then you all have. So tell me who is going to be that 1-2 teams to beat the mighty LCHS.

He might be one of the guys that reads the tennesean.... Looks at the box score and says,

" Fairview- 23, Lewis County- 21, man Fairview killed them." or " Marshall County lost to Lewis County?! I guess Coach Sharp paid off the refs with his fantastic food in the Field House again..."

He will go to town today and talk about football to his buddy's and quotes the sayings he heard on "ESPN Radio" this morning. He is more than likely a new "Saints" fan but has always supported the Patriots or Colts. (whoever won that year)

At night he more than likely slaps his wife for questioning his athletic ability, or lack of Football Knowledge...... HAHAHA

Lewis County will be returning more than 3/4 of their starters and will have some uprising starters in the Sophomore class to build up some weak areas from last year. I also think they will have a good team athletically and plenty of support from the town.

Hey, FranklymyDear...... if you have another opinion on anything besides "Gone with the Wind," ...... smile and realize, I am an idiot and no one really cares.

LOL I am just kidding, I do like the name. Also, it will be a challenge for LC to win 8 or 9 this year, but it is a challenge they will be better prepared for than last year. New Districts and classification kind of threw everyone a curveball, and they handled it like everyone else, just not to Panther Standards.

I agree with Stat.......I would guess 2 lost......Page (which will be the cream of the district this year from what it looks like) Marshall had a lot of young talent, which will only improve. Giles has to Rebuild/reload. Springhill under achieved last year for having so many seniors. If Lewis can fix the problem at QB and Safety they'll be in the hunt.

I wouldn't say SH under acheived. Their two regular season losses were against the 4A State Champions (congrats Giles) and the runner up 5A State Champions (congrats Columbia).

You guys are drinking too much of that moonshine made over there in them Hohenwald Hills. :popcorneater:

All we heard pre-season last year was how big and strong Lewis was. What happened? 3-8?

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
