Humboldt && Gleason are in the District 13A & 14A Regional Championship this year..Being played @ Trenton starting at 7 March 2....What are yall predictions of this outcome?? We all know that Humboldt is a very fast team & have athletes who can shoot and crash the boards well..And on the other hand..We all know that Gleason is a very disciplined team..Who will be on top??

If it is in the 20s-30s....Gleason, if it is higher than that, I would have to lean toward Humboldt.

 

Prediction...Gleason 41-33...lots of late free throws

Prediction...Gleason 41-33...lots of late free throws

ParisRiverRat just put the game in a nutshell! But Gleason will have to hope that Hubbard don't catch fire! King and Hubbard both will have to play well for Humboldt to win!

I was real disappointed in the way some of our fans acted in the Greenfield game. I hope we get them under control before tonight or there will be a fight against the Humboldt fans.

Gleason hasnt played a team like Humbolt all year. Humbolt is not Big Sandy. Humbolt will outrebound and outrun Gleason and once Humbolt gets ahead then Gleason wont be able to hold the ball. Gleason is in for a long night.

While you're correct that Gleason hasnt played a team with the athletic ability of Humboldt all year, dont forget that Gleason beat Greenfield. You remember Greenfield, the team that beat Humboldt all 3 times that they played them? And, Gleason beat this same Greenfield team 2 out of 3 games. This Gleason team also beat Bradford 2 out of 3 games. Sooooo, while you might be correct about a Humboldt victory, you might not want to be so confident about it.

 

Now, I will say that Gleason is not a comeback team. If you can get a big lead on them, they're not the kind of team that can make great comebacks. But, if they're ahead of you in the 4th quarter, then watch out. They can hold onto a lead better than anybody around.

 

They will frustrate Humboldt with their slow down, ball control offense. They play in your face, harrass you to death defense, and they'll double team Hubbard. They hit their free throws very good.

 

Now, Humboldt has a very good team. Hubbard and that number 10 are very good, and the big girl, Morgan, is a force in the middle in rebounding. Humboldt is fast, and they're playing their best ball of the year right now.

 

So, to me...it's a toss up. It should be a great game of 2 teams with two very, very different styles of play. Whoever can control the tempo may be the winner.
