The couple I remember for DC Cedric Janes had 24 and was the leading scorer for DC, and John Hudson had no points for us which was a surprise. After that my mind is blank. It was a great game down to the wire. If memory serves me right cordova only missed 2 foul shots the whole game They were almost lights out from the charity stripe.

Great game from both teams...Dc was very impressive to me. I loved Big Ced games. He plays hard and with a lot of passion. A few inches taller and he would be getting a lot of looks. I also likes Gross' game too. He is very skilled. DC was helped a little with Cunningham picking up a bogus 2nd foul and he had to sit half the first and all of the 2nd quarter. During the second half he was totally unstoppable but Cordova guards kept shooting wild threes and off balance floaters. I love DC's style of play but I don't know if they can win against Melrose or WS with that full denial press. Great game but on a side note I hope that short ref doesn't ref one of the sub state games...

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
