Greenfield beat Bradford last night 11 to 1. 10 run ruled them, so we only played 5 innings. Greenfield is now 8-6(3-2 in district). We play Bradford again tonite.

Halls 13 Union City 2. Jacob Clark struck out 10 in 5 innings. Halls 4-1 in district 9-5-1 overall.

2nd game between UC and Halls: UC 10 Halls 9, Union City was down 8 to 2 in the 3rd or 4th inning and they came back to win it... UC is now 10-10 overall.. (5-3 in district)

Good game. As a supporter of Halls, I admire the class of Coach Maddox and the Union City players especially Will Arnold. Two great offensive teams.

Greenfield beat Bradford last night 9-6 in what was probably the worst game we've played all year. Well, I'll take that back, the W. Carroll and the Trenton games were probably the worst games we've played all year. But, the Jackets still won last night, and a win is a win.

 

 

Today, the Jackets beat Dresden 12-6.

 

So, the Jackets are now 10-6 overall, and 4-2 in the district.

 

The Jackets play Martin tomorrow at home at 5 pm.

Well, a big win for the Jackets tonight. Greenfield 10 run ruled Martin tonight, and beat them 12 to 2 in 6 innings. The Jackets have also had a big week....4-0 this week.

 

The good thing is that maybe we're finally starting to hit the ball. Also, one of our seniors that has been hurt came off the DL list...lol...and has been the DH. Since, coming off the DL, Jake Lassiter has been knocking the cover off the ball. He had a homerun and a triple tonight, and his other at bat was a hot shot smoked right at the center fielder, who caught it for an out. So, Jake has really been a shot in the arm offensively for the Jackets, so far.

 

Monday and Tuesday of next week, the Jackets take on Union City in a pair of district games. Then, I believe we go to Martin later in the week for a rematch with the Chargers on their home turf.

When is the Greenfield - Halls series going to be made up? How things are shaping up this should be and important series as far as seeding for the district tournament.
