Coach Traywick is originally from Alabama. He has ties to Sevier Co, this is where his wife is from. As far as leaving, He already has had the opportunity & passed last year. Who knows what the future holds, but he has built a program. We have very talented underclassmen coming up and there is a solid youth movement in SC baseball with travel teams forming. The pipeline is there for quite a few years to come. In 5 years as the Smoky Bear Coach, he is sitting on 99 wins. Pretty Impressive whether you like him or not!!

As far as the other players on the All District Team, I did not say anything about them. It is just a shame that the team that wins the Regular Season Title & the Tournament doesn't have the talent to have more than 3 players selected!! What a slap at SC!! If the other teams were so much more talented than SC, they should have won the Championships!! So what happened?!? Like I said before, You can Wish all you want, but Sevier Co took care of business on the field!!!! We had one of the best pitchers in the district and hit .350, and 2 players that hit over .400 with one being a key pitcher also that did not make the team.

Maybe the other coaches didn't think those SC players were as good as others in the league. I realize that SC won the championship but maybe SC just had solid players from top to bottom with only 3 or 4 that really stood out. That Flynn kid is a no-brainer.....and personally, I thought Seymour had the most talented athletes in the league. SC folks should be basking in the glory of a championship and not whining about the all-district team, because in the end that championship year is what people will remember!

I agree with Seymour having a lot of talent but are post season awards being handed out for talent or achievement. I'm sure SC would rather have the Championships but one or two kids were just left out. I saw the Houser kid pitch against Jeff County and he certainly deserved to be on the All District team.

Kids get overlooked all the time. Not the first time nor the last time. I am sure every team had 1 or 2 kids that could have-should have. A .350 batting average probably should not make the team when most picked have over .400. However, a winning record in pitching against quality teams should.....but life isn't fair.

We are enjoying the Championships!! I am not whining....just pointing out a fact. Your Patriots got HOT in the Tourney, but the selections were chosen based on their 6-8 record in the season, the vote was last week before the tourney. Right is right, wrong is wrong. Like I said in an earlier post, NO RESPECT for SC. Everyone picked us to get beat and not even contend in the tourney including you sunshine. It is just a shame that the selections couldn't be settled on the field, like the Championships were.

By the way, SC has 5 already committed with colleges & 2 others exploring their options & offers. Farragut (SS), Fields (CF) with King College, Solomon (1B) with Maryville College, Clabo (1B) & White (OF) with Berea College.....Houser & Flynn are both still being recruited & have not made up their minds yet. :thumb:

Okay. Mr Solomon I see you pointed out JC players finally. Now it is my turn. The best player JC had in district tourney was not all conference so it wasn't the tournament. The only reason you are upset is your SON did not make it. I do not think the coaches slighted your players either. Your coach is a horse's rear end and everyone knows it. Your catcher is a jerk and wanna be thug. The 4 players from Jeff who made it are top class players as well as their parents. I heard last Bryan Lewis is signing wirh Chatt State on Friday. Evan hasn't decided whether he will play ball in college or not and the other 2 are juniors. I hope just like in football you play one and done. Paybacks are coming. I hope you still love Traywick when they do.

Well, I guess we know your point of view. I am not a SC fan, I have no son on SC team, and my son did not make all district nor should he have. Having said that, there is no way one could objectively look at this district and the All District team and say that SC was not screwed.

Traywick may very well be a horse's rear, but he is a darn good coach. He took what others consider NO TALENT and won. I personally see talent on that team and A LOT of heart. The catcher is a sophomore, who plays with emotion. Obviously SC emotion took them farther than the rest of IMAC's "talent".

I wish our team could have beaten SC, we did once, but they won the rest. I am a realist and the IMAC coaches should be ashamed.

Why does Jeff Co dislike SC sooooo much?

One of your parents or fans pointed out JC players....I just went with what he said. I said earlier that I thought we had 3 overlooked, NOT INCLUDING MY SON!!!! He did not have the year he had last year but was still very vital for our team!!! I have not taken shots at your team, though I know 1 of your players very well and don't understand why he was treated the way he was this year! Point your finger at Sunshine. Also reread my earlier post at the start.

Even though you wish us bad luck, I still wish you the Best of Luck! I hope you can keep your season going as long as it can. After the last game, it's not a fun time for any of the Seniors and their parents!

JC did not have a pitcher make all conference which they shouldn't have. Offensively they put up good numbers and went 11-3 out of conference with wins over Gibbs (twice), Crockett and Powell. You only saw three games for Jeff so you don't know what the players selected did the rest of the games as I don't know what the other teams players did either. The coaches are in same boat as far as seeing players play. By the way JC has 3 players going on to play college ball Lewis, Lambert and Collins.

Not sure what you are talking about. I never said that Sevier Co would not contend in the tourney. Get your facts straight before you spout. :thumb:

Hey PatriotGrad! What the heck is Solo-man talking about? Point your finger at Sunshine? I was being complimentary about the players. He is very angry about this All-district Team.....He needs to get over it. :thumb:

Coach Traywick = Lane Kiffin. He likes to talk a big game and is very cocky when his team performs, but his true colors will show when there is no talent surrounding him. Let's see what happens next year when he loses this senior class (if he sticks around). I think it is funny that he has inquired about the Jeff Co. job ( I have heard this from multiple reliable sources). That would be great for all of you Sevier Co. fans...come in and piss off the rest of the conference and get out of town when all of the talent leaves. I hope for all of the Jeff Co fans that he is not even considered in their upcoming search for a new coach. The all-conference selections are a joke. All of you Sevier Co.folks, quit whining! 24 players being selected as first team all-conference is a joke. I have never heard of any conference at any level including this many on an all conference team.

Its obvious to me by your ignorant comments about the SC catcher, that you were on the chess

team at JC. Anybody who was at the game saw that the play at the plate, which the catcher had to

dive and tag out the JC runner sliding at homeplate, was a great, hardnose, baseball play! So to be

called a jerk and a wanna be thug, why thats as classless as the JC fan who yelled put in his earhole.

It always amazes me that people like you, who probably never got further than (coach pitch) in his

career like to run their smoocher! I only wish that it would have been you sliding at home plate that dreadful day in JC baseball history. It would have been like a Kenworth smashing a VW!

Mr. Sultanofswat I admire the hardnose play both players made that night at Jeff. What I didn't like was the punch from him and spouting off when both players were on the ground. Players from other teams say he likes to run his jaw. I wish our player would have jacked it for him that night. He has been this way his whole life so it is nothing new. I saw him wimp out when he got hit on the elbow the other night. I hope you kissed it for him and made it better.
