Grundy has beat Cannon County twice this year. The first game was at South Pittsburg and Grundy threw a freshman and beat them 9-4. The second game was at their place (terrible field) and grundy won 6-5 with our number 5 or 6 pitcher on the hill. We will play Upperman in the Sequatchie Valley Classic coming up soon. Looks like a 2 horse race in 8-aa with Upperman and Smith County. They play today and 2moro I believe.

The lefty throws the ball well. Good velocity for a sophomore. Grundy hit left handed BP for 2 hours prior to that game. It paid off. What should be expected from Notre Dame and CCS since you all have played them?

Norte dame plays hard and want give up and CCS has one pretty good pitcher and hits the ball well. Probably will split the series.

Opening night of the Bullpen Classic at Grundy County. Grundy and Cannon County got things started with a 5-5 tie with time limit halting this one. White County then beat Cannon County 10-0 in the second game. In the night cap Grundy beat White County 4-3. Grundy picked up 4 runs in the first the flashed some pretty good leather behind sophomore Nick Shrum who got the win. Colby Ladd picked up the save. Grundy will play Boyd Christian in front of the student body at 1:00 today then Marion County at 7. Boyd will play White County at 3 then White County versus Marion County @ 5.

Grundy lost to Bledsoe in the play in game to start the District Tournament. CCS beat Notre Dame in the first game Friday night. The second game was a fight to the end, with Sequatchie beating Bledsoe 4 to 3 both pitcher's throwing complete games.

Saturday games saw Bledsoe beat Notre Dame. And the second game once again was a fight to the end. Sequatchie had to go nine innings to beat CCS. Both teams scored 2 runs in the first and didn't score again until the ninth. CCS scored the go ahead run in the top of the ninth. It only took two pitches for Sequatchie to win the game, Cooley lead off the bottom of the ninth with a double, then Harmon hit a walk off two run homerun to win the game. What a way to win a game. Seems like everyone is playing there best ball against Seq and that only helps us out in the long run. Hats off to Wilson and CCS's pitcher they both threw 9 innings and pitched extremely well.

Bledsoe play's CCS Monday night @ 5 CST to determine who will play Seq on Tuesday. This has been some of the best ball played all year.
