Union County High had players involved in several fights, ejected from games. Then attempted to cover this up,..not report, then report late, played under another name/number. Now mind you this is the athletic director that stands in judgement of other coaches, as well as players. Oh by way, one of the players happend to be family. I know, next we will hear everyone does this but I do not beleive that. Especially from somone placed in a position such as an athletic director.

If these incidents occured during TSSAA contest, then the umpires aren't doing their jobs.

This is to prevent this type of activity....

Section 7. Student Athletes Ejected for Unsportsmanlike Conduct in Any Sport

A. In contests in which registered TSSAA officials are involved, the officials will immediately notify the state office with both a telephone call and a written report if players are ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.

My understanding was all the above happend,...but if, and I will say if,...the coach/AD (same person) wrote it up on paper, and if they pretended to have a parent meeting , and if they suspended the players two games per the rules on paper, and then if the players played under different names and if they played under different numbers, and if they really never sat out at all, and if they were in Fl in a tournament where it would appear no one would really ever know the difference, then it appears UC has a problem that is greater than just players in a fight. This is the least of their worries if the AD planned and went along with this. And "if" a parent was not offended by such actions of dishonesty, then maybe no one would have found out. The word is however the director of schools is an honest man and will not put up with such things. They are investigating the situation and questioning players and parents who were there and something will be known soon. In the mean time director send the AD home for 10 days. That much is not an "if" it is fact. Long story short, it goes deeper than an umpire not reporting or an "honest mistake" that everyone makes from time to time. In mean time UC has a new coach and AD. SO you fill in the blanks from here!

So, who did they replace the AD/Coach with?

So the players were involved in a TSSAA game when the fight occured, then allegedly played in the next games that happened to be in Florida? I'm unclear on the events, but I wonder if it is written in TSSAA rules that they sit out next 2 TSSAA contests or next 2 contests period?

Can you review the ejections or penalties on the TSSAA site. I heard another instance where a player was ejected at Hancock County. After being ejected, he had to be removed from the entire area. Later, the officials found out he was of relation to some coach, teacher, or booster. When they, wrote the incident up, it was only written up as confinement to the dugout so that he would not have to sit out games. How do you find out what was written up and let TSSAA know that this crap is going on.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
