Martin Westview opens the 2010 season @ Huntingdon trying to avenge a heart-breaking 35-34 loss to the Mustangs a year ago...The Chargers will also be looking to begin the season better than the 0-4 start they had last year...The Chargers ended the season on a 7-1 run...

The defending district champion Milan Bulldogs look to return to the state championship game for the 3rd year in a row...The Bulldogs will have to replace almost every starter from a year ago to do so...The Bulldogs will be hard pressed to duplicate the previous two regular season's 10-0 records but we all know that in Milan they Re-Load not Re-Build...

The Tomcats look to avenge a 21-20 loss to the Cougars last season....

Ripley opens up with a tough North Side team that had their way with the Tigers a year ago in Jackson ...

The Lee Atkins era begins in Dyer this season...The Pioneers will try to do something they didn't do all of last season..Win a game....Humboldt beat the Pioneers in a good game last season 34-20...

 

Covington vs Mem. Frayser

 

Covington only won two games last season (That just doesn't sound right, does it ?) and Frayser was one of them....The Chargers easily handled Frayser 48-22 before losing 8 of their last nine games...

Obion Co. Central vs Fulton County, Ky...

 

Obion Central entered this game last season on a 20 game losing streak...The streak didn't reach 21...The Rebels beat down the Pilots 52-14 in a fight-marred game in Troy...The Pilots return across the state line minus their coach (fired after an ugly bench clearing fight in Murray, Ky vs Calloway County) from a year ago and a heckuva running back named LeDevin Fair, who transferred to OC late last school year..The Rebels look to replace all-everything QB Patrick Haskins and a good portion of both lines...

 

Crockett County does not play in Week Zero....

I am afraid my alma Mater is in a lot of trouble on this one. The mighty Trojans will have to really surprise some people to win this week. Dyer Co. looks to be clicking offensively, and I don't know if the Trojans can spell offense. What about Haywood? They looked terrible in the first look, but looked much better in the Jamboree. What is JCM like this year? Yanker, where ya at? What do people think about Haywood this year?
