White House 2-0 at Stations Camp 1-1

White House gets to hit the road to play in the Homecoming for the Bison. On paper, I give the edge to Camp but this White House team is buying in to Coach Porter's philsophy and off to a good start. This is a big non-district game for both as they both compete in tough districts of their own. I'm saying White House in the upset, 21-10.

I agree with bdp2003. White House looked really good against Westmoreland. I know thats not saying much, but they were still flying around on defense and the offense was basically scoring at will. #27 looked better than he did against Portland and the quarterback was picking the secondary of Westmoreland apart. White House usually does well with their throwing game against Station Camp. The secondary is usually a weakness of theirs. Portland was also able to put points up on the board against them and was basically in the game the whole time. So im going to take White House 24-10.

The Portland Station Camp game was 21-20 at half. The game was closer than the score showed. Portland was also White House's first game of the year so they were still working out first game jitters. So im not basing things off how the teams played Portland, but im thinking the game might be a little bit closer than my original pick of the score. So im going to change it to 21-14 White House.

White House is WAY down and it could be a long season. I'll pick SC in a close one... 21-17

Well, I'm gonna need you to define WAY down?? White House has a very tough schedule but hasn't missed the playoffs since 91. They sit at 2-0 with the big one this week. It is big in that with the win, they could go 3-0 and it could propel them to a 8 win season. Ok, Goodpasture and Beech are better teams at this point so that could be two losses. We should be able to get Greenbrier, Sycamore, Smith Co, Springfield and Macon Co so even if we lose to Camp, we still finish 7-3. Yes, Springfield is undefeated but I like our chances based on our coaching staff. If we lose at Springfield, that gives us 3 loses if we beat Camp. Last year White House went 6-4 and got killed by Whites Creek in the first round to finish 6-5 so what was last year, WAY, WAY down?? Just because you don't care for a team or don't like them because of some unknown reason to me, that doesn't mean you have to call a possible winning season a down year! Yes, I'm a White House fan so I'm on their side but I also like for people to explain their posts. Look forward to your response. A 7-3 or 6-4 seaspn is considered a down year in WH but a "WAY" down year to me is a losing season or missing the playoffs. At this point, I like our chances of both a winning season and a playoff berth. With what I saw in the August scrimmages from the Blue Devils, those two accomplishments aren't a WAY down year at all. Hope it's a good game Friday.

I've watched both of these two teams pretty closely the past couple of weeks. Station Camp fans, I'm sorry, but your team just isn't very good....at all. I mean, giving up that many points to one of the sorriest teams in the state (Portland0...that's just pitiful. Station Camp will struggle mightily in it's district, as well as this game.

However, White House has had some struggles of its own, which will even the game a bit. I'll take White House's country boy/go-get-em/lets-grab-some-beers-and-a-can-of-dip-and-go-fishin attitude in a close game.

White House- 21

Station Camp- 20

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
