Ok guys it’s that time again! Who’s gonna take the 2010 battle of the Hoot Bowl? Wartburg looks very impressive but they have 0 depth, Coalfield looks really talented just young with good depth. Iv watched both teams play and they are both well coached, Wartburg’s Dan Shoemaker is an outstanding individual not only as a good mentor but a father figure that parents can trust to better their kids physically, mentally, educationally and spiritually my Grandfather Coach Jim “Hoot†Gibson thought a lot of coach shoemaker not only as a coach but as a administrator as well. Coalfields Henry who has had a lot of pressure on him to win and win now is an outstanding guy; he done wonders with Oneida and will do wonders at coalfield. With time. But I think its Wartburg’s year with a senior class loaded with talent, coalfield will bounce back with the young talent they have in the near future. Wartburg 28 Coalfield 20

I played for hoot at Loudon, great person. He was the man that got me my scholarship to Vanderbilt. I’ll be attending my first Wartburg Coalfield game. I’ve heard about the rivalry what’s some stats and history about the rivalry?

Wartburg will beat Coalfield 28-14 in my opinion,, we will see next week though for sure. Let the arguing commence!!

I’m not sure on overall stats of the rivalry i know it goes in streaks, coalfield three years Wartburg three years back and forth. Overall i think Wartburg leads by a few... CYJACKET where you at lol

Coalfield runs a "west coast" type offense without the players to adequately run it. Rockwood drilled them and could have been worse. Wartburg needs to be ready for a battle, but hit them in the chin and Coalfield will show the thug mentality that they are now known for (and personal fouls will follow). Tough words for you Yellow Jacket fans, but read carefully, dig deep down inside, look at past games, and you will see how true those words are. No rose colored glasses here, just wish we could get another piece of you guys. It ALWAYS turns out in our favor. Wartburg by 10.

We'll do just fine, our Bowl game will be in November, we can send an invitation if you would kindly post your address. We've been to the state semi finals, and when we come out of this we will go farther. We're building something that none of you will be able to compete with. Have fun this year and next, it won't be long until each of you playoff contenders get another RAMPRIDE beatdown. Can't wait to lay it on coalfield again, losers.

you may have been there, but so has coalfield, and oz has has been close. personally, ive been there four times and have a ring to boot. wish you had one. never played in a bowl game though LOL! never missed the playoffs at any division;)
