Hoganknows
How bad would the TSSAA look if Brentwood beats Franklin in week 10 and then has to play at Franklin in the first round of playoffs..could happen
tndragon
Ya'll have Dickson County in Quad 3. TSSAA has them in Quad

If that happens, then it happens! So what!
QBClubPrez
if 8 memphis teams get in they will be in quad 3 With 8 teams in each Quad, Quad 4 is the only place Dickson County can currently be. I think Dickson County would have a execellent chance to advance a couple rounds in Quad 4. However, no one wants to play Whitehaven in Memphis...if you MUST play them, you would want the to have to come to you!

Mr. QBClubPrez ..I guess you think head to head doesn't matter at all in this world of football playoffs or home field advantage if you beat another team in your district, heck why even have districts any more..usually that is the number one criteria, but not with the TSSAA..its who you beat and no matter who it is. seantn_4
so the t$$aa has the whole thing out now...and rutherford county has 5 teams in with Oakland and Smyrna and Seigle in quad 3 and riverdale and blackman in quad 2!
Lost Old Dad
I have looked at it and looked at it. The only thing that comes readily to mind is an old military term starting with "CLUSTER"!

The reason for districts is first and foremost...the "ease of scheduling similar opponents in a central geographic area"...how would Brentwood or Franklin like to try to get 10 teams that "weren't required to play them" to add them to their schedules?...sounds easy, but I can promise you it's not! Next, the reason for football district is to allow 2 (TWO) automatic qualifiers to move on to the postseason! So far, Brentwood and Franklin ARE the two automatic qualifiers for District 11-AAA. Every win is important...yes, it is possible for members of the same district (one who has already beaten the other) to face off in the playoffs at the other team's home field..EVEN after beating them in the regular season...simply put...the home team simply won more games than the other...plain and simple! Moral of the story...win! Edited October 26, 2010 by QBClubPrez

Moral of the story...win! You support Hogan's belief...this is a messed up system...#1 is overall victories..lets see how many teams are going to play the likes of Brentwood, Franklin, Riverdale, Maryville and etc the next two years with this system(they all will be playing each other)..nobody in their right mind. This system is flawed to the max without head to head as a criteria and #1 is overall victories.
