If this is the case, which I definitely hope it is not, then the 4 teams that really got screwed on first round draws are:

West Greene

Polk County

Pearl-Cohn

Milan

Yeah, I hated to leave your Cubs out but that Creekwood game is a toss-up. I based it off the Cubs performance against Waverly. But if Cheatham wins they should be in.

The TSSAA main goal was to get less teams in with losing records. Well in 2009 in 3A there was only 1 team with a losing record. This year if my prediction comes to fruition there will be 2 teams with losing records.

The performance against Waverly was AWFUL! Injuries have hit at a bad time during the season, no question about it, however that should not play a role in the effort that guys play with on Friday night.

If West Greene and Austin-East both end up 7-3, West Greene will get the #3 and Austin-East will get the #4 seed based on the second criterion.

Sorry that will not be the case. 2nd criterion is Teams on Schedule that won 50% of games. West Greene has 6, after this week's game against Gibbs, Austin East will have 6 as well. They both will have 3 victories over teams with winning records, so it goes to the 4th criterion victories by opponents- West Greene has 45, Austin East will have 53. Austin East will hold the tiebreaker.

32 out of 53 teams in 3A make it to the playoffs... there's probably always going to be someone in the playoffs with a losing record. There are too many classifications... too many teams go to the playoffs now.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. The 5 that Austin-East has includes Gibbs.. take a look at the schedules. Austin-East could have 6 if PF beats GP, but you have picked PF to lose.

My mistake I assumed TSSAA only put teams the team had played in that criteria that is my fault for assuming. Looks like I will need to make some corrections.

Thanks for the help. :thumb:

I think there still will be just one 4-6 team.

For that to happen, there would have to be an upset amongst these games.

York Institute over Smith County

Pigeon Forge over Gatlinburg Pittman

Manassas over Kingsbury

Waverly over Montgomery Central

Cheatham over Creekwood

The last one is the only one I consider a toss up but the Cubs have had a lot of injuries.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
