I'm nothing but an East TN Football Fan !! I go to all Teams games when i get a chance. RW just happened to impress me i really don't just have a Team. just a fan of Football. Sorry the truth hearts to all these old granpa's. my overall favorite team would probabley be South Pitt. I love there Style !!

Won't see many East Tn teams that plays like SP,speed and more speed. You need to go watch Alcoa, you might just find you a new team to follow.

GROW UP

Who is the idiot that keeps crying about "private school recruiting"? Obviously they know nothing about Hamilton County Schools.

Boyd Buchanan, would have to be the last school in that area that I would refer to as far as recruiting. Especially since you can't go there

if you receive and type of school assistance...

So to Mr. "Private School recruiter"............ Find something else to cry about! That one is "OLD"

Don't know where you are located but the best game I've seen this week would be Polk and Tyner, heck of a 1st round game.

Big thing about Unaka is containing Petterson he loves to run but kepp him in the pocket and presure him he will fold! which Hampton didnt get alot of presure on him and when we did he ran completely around them he is fast and can chuck a ball so be ready to cover deep! Unaka has two big linemen number 55 Jordon Taylor who is around 6'5 280 and Micky lash who is about 6'2 or 6'3 and bilt like a rock! they dont have the best D i have seen but best all around Unaka team i have seen! they had us on the ropes so all in all i have never seen boyd play this year so i cant make a predection just i think byod will win cause unaka has al ong bus ride but they will be fired up! my pick Byod 42 Unaka 28!

im truely not sure why hampton thinks keeping him in the pocket makes him fold, when we played hampton the coaches quit calling passes from the beggining of the 3rd on it was nothing hampton did to stop him. if you boyd fans want some insight on Unaka here goes, 6 peterson is by far the best player he can sling the ball and can make plays with his feet he sometimes has a tendency to run before he needs to however, 2 taylor is the HB hes fast and hits the hole hard, recievers to watch are 3 bales and 22 "mook" wilson, 55 and 70 are big'uns on the line, on D the secondary tends to have some issues but at linebacker 42 naylor and 31 hatfield have been beasts of late they have been having around 12 to 15 tackles a game. hopefully i can find a way there friday good luck to both teams!

Good luck to Unaka, win or lose ,play with heart and pride until the bitter end, represent you're school aan Carter Co. Were all behind you.

Thanks Pujo,That means a bunch to know others are pulling for you. Boyd is a tough draw but if this bunch will play hard and smart I think we might be competive. If not, long ride back to the creek. :thumb:

Mmmmm, i've never really said anything except that Hampton didnt play D at all! I have the game on film and they threw often in the 4th...some decent defensive stops kept Unaka from winning with the passing game....I do like the Taylor kid...thot he played well against us....if BB gives Peterson as much time to find a receiver as we did, Unaka may very well get this win

Some people tend to hate other teams in the CO,thats not me,Ipull for all our local teams. Were alot more alike than we are different. I truely think you can make it a game. Just can't panic .

I'll second this opinion.

For our guest comming from Unaka.

Directions:

Take I-75 south turn right at the state line on I-24. Go west on I-24 and take Moore Rd. exit. Turn right on Moore Rd. stay on Moore Rd. go across Brainerd Rd. and stay straight. You will go past Brainerd High School. Turn right at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church on to Bonnyway Dr.. Your there.

Places to eat:

If you get hungery early like Reaction exit 27 in Cleveland on I-75 has some good places to eat. Just turn left at exit and go 2 miles. You will be around 40 min. out unless traffic is backed up. My suggestion is eat closer. Exit 5 turn right or left has a lot of places. That exit has a huge Mall for the Skillet Slingers that want to shop. 12 min away from here. We have just about anything you want to eat on Brainerd Rd. off of Moore Rd. turn right go about a mile. 5 min. away. Brainerd Rd. has Longhorn, Chilies, Applebee’s, Hooters and Amigo's just to name a few.

We also have a great steak or chicken sandwich at the concession stand. :thumb:

The only warning in the Swamp is don't feed the Geese and watch were you step. :roflol:

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
