Nothing BCS-like about that system at all. The BCS actually forbids the computers from using margin of victory (although they can't stop the humans from doing so). You want screwed-up, try New Mexico where the district winners are picked on the same margin-of-victory rule that Kansas uses, and then the state office picks who gets to go after that!

Kansas is almost as bad as Indiana. Every team makes the playoffs. Kind of makes the regular season meaningless.
