How did Trousdale win 3 of 5 state championships. How has Maryville won two in a row and looks like three in a row. How has Riverdale been one of the top three teams in the state for 8 years?

I would not classify USJ being just as strong as last year, From what I have seen I would make the following rankings

 

1) Ezell (Far ahead of everybody else)

 

Big Gap

 

Several Teams could be in the 3rd thru 5th slots and would be reasonably close. I would place them as follows

 

2) Collinwood

3) Bruceton

4) USJ

5) CPA

 

I don't see anybody in the east even coming close to this level.

How do you explain USJ beating CPA worse than EZELL.

CPA's defense made a play. CPA's offense didn't score against Ezell.

 

Ezell has a better defense than USJ. CPA's defense just played Ezell very very tough. CPA didn't play all that poorly against Ezell, but from all accounts they didn't play exactly "inspired" ball against USJ.
