Alot closer than alot thought, as i said in an earlier post today it would b, folks made their opinion off one gamethey saw gainst weak whh team, no in my heart we let this one det away, but good teams find a way to win when going gets tuff

So true. It came down to a break that no one foresaw. In the series before our QB fumbled inside the 10 and seemingly took us out of the game. Honestly I was shocked to see the same happen to ya'll with seconds to go. THEN, Max drove the 35 +/- yard FG thru the uprights which for us was a crap shoot was amazing (The Rebel kicking game has been hit or miss a lot of the season but, getting better). The Rebels like the Tigers have some great players and our #12 is one of ours. I'm coming to accept that when it's all on the line I can trust him to get it done with the help of a bunch of others.

These were two very fine football teams that squared off with each other in McKenzie tonight.

Still got one left in the district. Bring home the hardware mckenzie

The Tigers and Mustangs and Rebels all made it to week 2 of the playoffs which to me is a huge statement for Carroll Co. high school football. Us Rebels are still alive and will carry on the torch as best we can. Mt. Pleasant was a beast!!! It took all we had and one huge break to survive tonight for us. The 'Stangs were on the short end of a similar game and Bruceton ran into a buzz saw!!!

At least we're makin' em work for it!!! Ain't takin' prisoners. Carroll Co. is a dang good place to live!!

We'll represent the county the best we can. It's down to the real deal time now. We have all been here before and we're still looking for our gold ball. From here it still looks a long ways off. We'll take it as far as we can. Ya'll come on with us.

Hey Butchie and Duck....you can relax your sphincter now! :roflolk:

From what I was hearing with the score updates...it was a heck of a game. Congrats Col. Reb!!! I wish this could've been a semi-final game for both teams sake. Hated to see the Ligers go out this early. wholder, you gotta bring your peeps to JB now!

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
