7-0? how bout that offense. Yeah ridgeway put up more yards but scoring is the only thing that matters here we won 21-19 that obviously tells you we made important stops against one of the best teams in tennessee. Tomrw night you'll get a good taste. Goodluck keeping that offense out on the field for more than 3 and out

Looks like west had a better team or at least a better showing.

How do you like your crow? If you post on coacht you will eventually have to eat some. :thumb:

Someone said earlier that the Columbia line would wear down the HHS line.......

They obviously haven't seen the front of HHS's O and D. If the boys from Columbia can wear down HHS then they are all stud's. HHS is big, strong, and most of all athletic. The two ILB's in HHS's 50 defense can go sideline to sideline as well as stuff anything you bring up the gut. If you wanna play Big on Big against HHS you better bring a full lunch and some leftovers from last nights dinner too!

I must have missed these big huge super conditioned amazingly physical studs all of yall have talked out or were they sick? because I saw Kenneth and Shaq run the lines last night with no one even giving them a challenge

i don't see any of them posting in this thread anytime soon unless it's to say we were right in my honest opinion im not really sure how they made it to the ship HHS does have good players but the coaching last night was some of the worst i've ever seen like the lets try and throw it from the 10 yard line calls twice in a row which one ended for a 13 yard loss

Let's stay humble boys. It was a Lion day. Enjoy this one, it's been 58 years since the last one. This is a special group of guys.

To be fair, with the emotions of the day, the odds were stacked against the Commandos. They had a great post season, coming in as a 5 seed and beating 2 1 seeds to get to the championship game. Nothing to be ashamed of. Same boat our Lions were in just last year.

yea that game was a real dog fight. west had their chances to make big plays but couldnt take advantage, very good defensive game by both teams but somebody had to come out on top. i would have loved to see west and columbia in the state championship.

yeah but this is kind of needed after them saying the whole week they would come out and dominate central

but i do know that these boys weren't going to lose especially after 5 minutes before Dylan died he asked his mom if they won and she said "yes baby we won"

I for one know i never could of looked myself in the face if i had been playing on central's team last night and they lost, and i think those boys thought the same thing

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
