Too bad the kicker with the best stats in the state didn't get an invitation... not even as an alternate....same goes for Mr. Football results.............

I believe Zack Sharp was 6 of 8 in fieldgoals before the championship game, per the Knoxville News Sentinel. That wasn't even the highest number made in the KFL area, but that ain't chop liver either. He had one over 50 yards and alot of kickoffs into (and out of) the endzone. Playing for a state power and one on it's way into the state championship game doesn't hurt either.

I don't know anything about the alternate for the East or anyone from the West roster.

Who is this kicker "with the best stats in the state" and what stats does he have?

As the father of a kicker, I can certainly understand when people misunderstand or overlook the kicking game. I'm interested to here about the stats of the kicker you mentioned. As a point of comparison, here are some specifics for Zach Sharp, who will be kicking for the East on Saturday:

70\71 PAT's year and 157/159 career. Set new state record for consecutive PAT's (111)

80 Touchbacks on 97 kickoffs, 70 yard average with 4 second hangtime. Many through the uprights.

10\13 fieldgoals on year, 33 career field goals is 2nd best in Tennessee history - ahead of James Wilhoit and behind John Vaughn.

257 career points is team record and likely state record if such was kept.

In addition to Mr. Football award and selection to All Star team, he was preseason all state selection and winner of several regional, district and county honors in all four years.

Set team records of longest field goal (50), most PAT's, field goals, total points in year & career. Started 60 games in career. Won several national level competitions in field goal kicking. Won the UT camp with a 55 yard field goal off the ground. Has been ranked in top five nationally in the major kicking services, being recruited by several D1 schools including UT, MTSU, Va Tech, UCF, Wake Forest, Penn, etc.

Please compare.
