and beating Indy and shutting up this loud mouth would be a great way to show there cred

I don't even think beating Indy this year would give chatt central cred. Indy just isn't a powerhouse this year. If they are going to prove their worth , which they aren't worth much, they are going to have to stop a team like Cleveland, Father Ryan, Christian Brothers, or Bradley but that will never happen. The Purple Pounders just don't have the talent or strength in the practice room to compete with the top in the state.

bizbopzot : you are not a very nice person, why do you always have to be negative? What happened to you in your childhood? Get a life!! and quit being negative about High School Kids and programs in this area.....

Got the privledge to see Chattanooga Central this past weekend at the Knox Catholic Tournament. Scrappy kids that looked like they were in better shape than most that they wrestled. Looked to be well coached with the likes of Knox and Edmondson in their corner. Time will tell, but I was impressed with their team. Wouldn't go as far to say that they are a Soddy, Bradley, Cleveland, etc, but they look like they are moving in the right direction with the program. Good luck to them.

Chatt Central definitely has a good team this year. Will the Purple Pounders be the team to beat this season?

Although some here might think I have a slight bias, I have to agree with darkhorse145 on this one, THE C is the team to beat. So far this season they are almost undefeated with only one close loss that could have gone either way due to some horrible Knoxville reffing and THE C is the near unanimous favorite to win the AA-A duals next month.

I guess I don't know anything about officiating, because I thought the official did a very good job. Only 1 questionable call and it was the difference between giving 1 or 2 on a reversal on the edge. The official should have offered to bet a large sum of money, when he was called to the table on the straight head scissors with the arm included. That is an illegal hold. Clint Abbott

Although The C may end up winning the A/AA Dual State, I dont think they are the unanimous favorite. There are a lot of variables that go into a dual match...mathups and so on. Stay humble my friend until The C brings home the gold trophy...I think BCB may be willing to take a few side bets on that happening also.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
