Watch for otto porter. Big post and very good. He's a bigtime player

Scott County Central ranked No. 1 out of 93 teams in SE Missouri (the SEMO Top 25 poll is on SemoSportsWeb.com). Otto Porter being recruited by several D-I schools. SCC lost to Chicago Simeon by 20 last weekend - Simeon ranked No. 9 nationally by USA Today.

Caruthersville playing Friday night. They're ranked in the top 10 in SEMO.

Dyer County 94

Soldan Int'l 80

Soldan went up quickly to lead 12-0. Then it was all DC. DC trailed by one at the end of the first 24-25. DC hit 5 3's in the first half. Everyone played and 5 players were in double figures. Soldan was acessed 6 technical fouls.(I think, I might have missed one) 2 for slam dunks during warmups at halftime. 2 on bench. 1 for an elbow, and another for a player talking impolitely to the ref.

The dunking during warmups may not have been appropriate. During these showcase tournaments, most of the time the refs allow them to showboat a little. I guess not at this one. It may be different in different associations. I know the refs that reffed the melrose oak hill a few weeks ago were not tssaa referees. I forget what association they were, but they allowed the show boating in warm ups. As for the game itself, big win for dc. Congrats and keep on rolling.

The Dyer County game would have been a lot better if the refs of the game didn't try to screw the Soldan squad. Dyer County was a better team in my opinion but the game was called very one sided. The refs got way too involved in this game. Dyer County is a very deep team. They remind me a lot of the Liberty team that beat Thad Young and Mitchell in '06 although not quite as good.

yeah the problems started with a blocking foul called on dyer and the basket was good but none of the refs saw the ball go through the basket, they discussed it, came to the scoreres table and the dyer county coach told the refs that the ball did not go in the basket, very poorly officiated and I do not know how to take a coach that will blatantly be dishonest especially in front of young men, dyer county has an outstanding basketball team, why be dishonest in that situation, this is what spurred the coach from soldan into the technicals. poor example of officiating and the coach from dyer county should never get on any of his players for being dishonest as he has set that example for them.
