Soddy vs Bradley

Soddy won this meet due to a much tougher schedule; they've wrestled 7-8 matches this tough or tougher already this year. Simply more battle-tested.

Soddy did not win due to a tougher schedule, Soddy won because they were a better team tonight. Hands down, no argument.

Congrats to Soddy. Coach Henry had them rasslers ready to work in the Bear's den.

I wonder how come Bradley has been able to win in the past with a schedule not dissimilar to the one this year?

A tie with Hixson? Are you sure? Not trying to down Hixson but that doesn't seem even remotely possible since 1991 or so. a tougher schedule definitely pays off in matches like this. Those matches where Bradley was better but Soddy fought off bonus points has to atleast to some degree be because the Soddy kids have wrestled Cleveland, Baylor, Cbhs and whoever else multiple times. They have been in battles and wars and it showed. I'm pretty sure playing in the sec makes our football teams better out of conference. Same principle

you may be right, how do you explain the Bears ability to win in the past with a weak schedule?

Here it comes! The Bradley haters can finally pretend to know more than the coaching staff there. So now, it's scheduling. No one could really say much for the past 4 seasons, because the Bears weren't doing any losing. Same coaching staff, same scheduling, same result. State Championships. In fact, haven't they won 21 State Titles since 1994? I hear that's more than any team in any sport in Tn. History. Hurry and call Logston and help him with his methods and scheduling, because dang, they lost a match. :roflol:

actually,,,,losing one match at home in 17 years,,,,,,Coach Logsdon is probably re-thinking his entire program. What a horrible job he has done in that time.

Come on you guys, give Soddy some credit for wrestling well. I think the match count was 7 to 7. Bonus points won this. Good job Soddy.

Next: Day of Duals at Bradley High School – Saturday 1/22/11

Congratlations to both teams. WOW what a match!

Tonight's loss ends a 17 year at home winning streak and a current 65 match unbeaten streak fo the Bears. The curent Bear seniors had never lost a match. The last time the Bears lost at home most of the team hadn't been born.

Still more wrestling to come!

This could be BAD news real BAD news for the rest of the state besides BRADLEY. It could just be the fire that coach had been stating his team has not had thus this year.

It may spark the fire that spurs this team onto Duals and Trad State Titles. Lots to be unfolded in the near future.

I would say the wrestling room will be bursting with flames at Bradley and others may get burnt in their path to TSSAA STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS for 2011.
