If that happens it would most likely set up a 3 way tie for first and since those 3 teams split with each other it all depends on how 4,5, and 6 finish. If Lipscomb finishes 4, East Lit has the advantage, if White House finishes 4 it moves East Lit to 3rd seed. It starts with head to head then how top teams fared against those related to their order of finish. I don't think that has changed. After that if still doesn't break ties, then coin flips may come into play. Looks like staying away from 3rd seed could be important for district tourney and winning district tournament could really help in relation to 1st round region game.

VERY RARE for a HS team to lose shooting 14 3's. Apparently, CPA couldn't stop MP's penetration. Didn't go to the game, and not a coach, but wonder if CPA tried to play man-to-man the whole game. When they had trouble with Lipscomb and switched to the zone, they took control of the game. Seems to me if CPA is being hurt by penetration (according to the Tennessean), they need to zone with Lindsey under the basket to block some shots.

Regardless, CPA lost to EL on the road too, but when EL came to CPA - well.

Scenario - if CPA beats MP at home, and loses to Lipscomb on the road, who will be #1 seed in District (same record).

 

Pretty exciting game for the fans. Good crowd and homecoming celebration for Maplewood. CPA went to the zone, but still could not stop Richardson from penetrating and scoring. CPA was able to stay in the game with the 3. Biggest difference in the game was at the free throw line. I would say CPA shot under 50% and missed about 9-10 free throws. Congrats to the Panthers for doing what they had to do.

Wow! CPA's Allsmiller follows last night's six 3's at Maplewood with seven 3's against PC tonight. 13 triples in 2 nights! Also great to see preseason starting point guard, Brandon Cook, get his first playing time tonight and 6 points after knee surgery due to a football injury has kept him out since the first of the year.

When I heard early on about a point guard lost to injury, I assumed it was last season’s starting point guard Tyler Akers (correct?), who I thought was a sophomore last year. What happened to him?

I thought the same thing- so I googled it and found out he is playing for The First Academy in Orlando- sounded like he was from Florida originally. Looks to be a pretty good team in Florida, it is a private Christian school.

How would East Lit hit 2nd? I thought East Lit lost 4 district games. But I'm not 100% sure
