RBS has had some of the best talent of any schoolin the area. Ask the coaches

that have played against them. At least three or four state champs teams.

They have made the final four only once. Also they have had more quality

athletes quit the team than anyone else. The 500 wins have mostly come against

weaker teams. But it is what it is, believe what you want.

I have not been able to attend many of the JC games this year due to

health problems. I have been there in my heart. This is a fine group

of young athletes. What they have done is amazing. That is not a strong

enough word for what they have done. It is a tribute to the parents, the

best fans in the state, the coaches, and the jackson county school

system. Good luck in the state tour. I am hoping I will be able to come.

Larry White is an awesome Coach and should be commended for has great career. He geniunely cares about his team on and off the floor. If I had a daughter playing I would rather have him coach her than any other coach in this area.

Just because the last few years the teams have been weak doesn't mean it's been that way his whole career. Coach White has been playing the same teams for decades. For the longest time you could always count on Pickett County, Clay County, Clarkrange, Monterey, Westmoreland, Macon Couny, Trousdale County, Gordonsville, Watertown, and Hermitage Springs because they were always district and close area teams. That's 20 games to go along with 3 or 4 games from being in the Nera White and RBS Christmas Tournament and there you have 26-28 game schedule before you play the district tournament. Up until the last few years that was his schedule pretty much every year and in the early part of last decade Clay County, Clarkrange, and Westmoreland was pretty much banked on being a state tournament team on top of playing Lafayette 4 times a year, twice in the season and twice in tournaments, so saying his wins have come against weaker teams is a bit mis-guided.

    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
    • The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
