BLAH BLAH BLAH we will see...dont have the same feeder program that you had in 2004-2005.Higher calling has taken that over as well as kids are not as willing as they used to be to wait there turn. They want instant so they leave and go to walker valley, clev instaed of waiting there turn. All the great coaches and supportive parents cant replace what you dont have and the future has a lack of talent that you once had.Memories is what you guys have and you will be talking about hoe bradley used to be during the next 4 yrs...

And exactly how many memories do you have now? How many state titles can you claim? I would be willing to bet that all but maybe 1 or 2 teams(both in D2) in the state would be willing to trade records and titles for the past 15 or so years.

By the way, Higher Calling club has not taken over Bradley's kid's club. That is ran under the PRIDE wrestling club. Here's some free advice: Sometimes its best not to open your mouth and let people assume you're an idiot versus actually proving it by opening it!

Funny thing is, this clown claims to be from Ravenwood. If that's true, then isn't it kind of sad and also a great compliment that he follows Bradley, it's coaches, it's wrestlers, it's feeder program, it's future wrestlers, and it's kids club so closely? Do you know how much we know about your program? Nothing. Of course, that's what we do. We focus on our program, our goals, our tradition and our kids. But thank you for finding us so intriguing. Maybe someday, someone will give you the same type of attention.

the thing that helps Bradley's wrestling program is that when they are young it's not like the rest of the sports where Daddy ball runs so many kids out of the programs before they even grow. most kids quit playing baseball by the time they are 11-12, basketball same, and football is worse. but the youth wrestling programs gives them a even playing field, same coaches, most of who don't have kids involved in the club, yeah they might be down and Cleveland might go up that's just the way it is in public non- tution aided schools, but o what a rush they must have for being on top for sooooo long. give them the respect they earned and no my kids don't wrestle or attend Bradley.

I think I may have solved the mystery of the black dress but opened up another mystery.

The dress maybe the one worn by Tall Betsy known to haunt the streets of Bradley County. She may have traveled to Franklin to see her haunts of Cleveland, Bradley Central and Walker Valley.

It could just have been her spirit floating by the Bradley section.

To find out more about the legend that haunts the best wrestling county in the state, go to www.TallBetsy.com.

I think I saw BCB wearing that same black dress downtown that night after the state and I believe he was hanging out with the FR Head Coach who was wearing a wedding dress as well....

good times....

I was wearing a rather short, tight, black cocktail dress. Although we did spend some great quality time with the purple fish eaters , I'm pretty sure that if I told the attire of the Godfather..... then they would change their(our) secret handshake and my voting privilege's would be revoked. Next year is gonna be a blast!!!

Gee, Nate. No one that I can find has still ever heard of you. I just knew you'd be some huge name in Tennessee wrestling with all of your knowledge and inside info! :roflol:

Not so quick folks. We all wish Steve the best but he did this a few years ago only to return to coaching a few years later. He is a young man so we may see Steve coaching again in the future.

    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
