originalSC3
With a new backfield, receiving core, and secondary, I think the Owls success will depend a large part upon the big boys up front on both sides of the ball.

New backfield: This will be one of our strong points, receiving: won't be throwing as much but will have capable receivers, secondary: Bingo - must have some players to step up. BasilDuke
During the season SC played and beat better teams than Macon County, i.e. Gordonsville and White House. When they played Macon County, Macon County just flat out played SC in every aspect of the game. I hope Macon County does well and wish them the best of luck in every game they play, but the fact is SC was the more talented team and had that game been played any other night the score would have been reversed Smith County may be more talented...but Macon County has the better coach. Hello Scoot. When I said backfield I meant TB and FB only. I should have said young instead of new even though the FB is a fresh face. Won't be throwing as much? I hope not but we will see. Do we have a spring scrimmage this year?

Both schools are VERY fortunate to have the coaches they have. To say one is better than the other is only a matter of opinion. We'll keep Maynord and let MC keep their coach and all will be happy. oldsc7
This past weekend at the Nike Sparq training combine Jalen was the top Soph there. He ran a 4.8 in the forty which he is faster but he stumbles and slipped on the wet field there. 35 inch vertical, peak power 6960 watts, agility 4.37, power ball toss 31.5 feet. Now we have to get this translated to the field for every play and not just a few.
