Cornersville vs. Loretto - Region Semis

Opinions for this one??? Alright......tomorrow night should be very interesting...Who takes the semi's game to advance to the Region Championship Wednesday night and gets a substate game on Saturday with a chance to go the Boro the following week? These 2 teams have met twice this season in a close one at Cornersville and a route at Loretto. Loretto has not been on top of their game the past 2 games,but are due a break out performance tomorrow night. Cornersville seems to be doing a great job of overcoming the adversity of losing Hopkins at a crucial time in their season as they managed to still win their district championship game as well as beat a good Perry County team in the Region opener. If Loretto shows up to play and shoots the ball like they are capable, it'll be Loretto by double digits. If not, Cornersville is in a great position to win. Fagan will be hard for the Lady Mustangs to conatain, while if Loretto shoots well, we have several that can present trouble for Cornersville. Should be a GREAT game! Good Luck to my Lady Mustangs. These two teams know as much about each other as one could possibly know. With that, the Lady Mustangs will have to execute the game plan, as I know Coach Tipps will have a great one, to perfection to survive and advance. Good luck to the Lady Mustangs!! Lady Mustangs by 8.

After seeing Cornersville many times and Loretto last week, my vote goes to Cornersville in a close one..

Lorreta by at least 15. Hopkins was the glue that made the team chemistry work.

 

Cornersville did not have it together yet when they played PC. PC shot 10 for 24 from the freethrow line missing most of the front ends of 1-1. PC shot less than 50 per cent of their layup/finishes ( this was a problem all year long so no big surprize) and still only lost by 2 points. Lorretta made the finishing layups against us.

 

Unless Cornersville finds how to play without Hopkins better than they did against PC, this will be ugly in the 3rd quarter.
