hmmmmmmmm.... interesting hoganknows.

not sure I understand what you are trying to do here. what does hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mean? Does Hogan not like this kid or something? Is he not a great kid? What does hmmmmmmmmmmmm mean for this post????

I must say something. I am glad for Matt that he has this offer. I want to say that first. But I went over to Vanderbilt on Saturday and caught the FHS game. Matt makes lots of mistakes. All I know is the Coach from Franklin is always yelling at him or his receivers. I am not for sure that he is a Division I QB. I wish him well, but maybe that is why a school from way up north has offered him. I also saw the FHS playoff game vs. Blackman and if the WR's are covered this kid is a sitting duck. He could not out run anyone. Good luck to Matt, but since someone was asking questions like hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I thought I would ask a few also.

The hmmmmmmmmmmm directed towards hogan is due to the fact that the franklin community knows who hogan is. it is no secret among franklin faithful about his true feelings on the qb. as far as matt goes. he is a good qb, not great yet, but good. it is very impressive to see his progression as a player since he had never played qb until he got to franklin. as far as being a true D1 qb i dont know... he has one D1 offer already and after one of their games in the morning, I noticed the Vandy staff talking to him and what looked like his family. good luck to the rebels and matt for the upcoming year.

Hey,it is very clear why you joined the T. Since you are obsessed with Hogan, go talk to him face to face. Let us know how that goes.

As a high school football fan that has also coached, I wonder why post an "offer" on a message board that is not for Syracuse football? All you did was open a can of worms and expect people to be critical and also expect people to give congratulations. I for one what to congratulate the kid, but on a message board such as this expect fans and rivals to state opinions. I must guess that you are either this kids dad or his coach and you want this to look good. Either way expect to hear people's opinions when you post on a message board.

    • Understand the young thing.  I was one of those.  Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college.  But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion.  Life isn't always going to be fair.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
